Generous staff from homecare provider Sevacare’s nationwide team joined in this year’s Breast Cancer Care Pink Friday fundraising event.
Staff from 41 offices across England and Wales donated a minimum of £2 each to dress in their own clothes and wear something pink on the day to show their support.
A number of budding bakers also made cupcakes and muffins to sell to their colleagues to raise even more money for the charity.
In all, Sevacare raised more than £1,000 for the charity and expects to boost that total as money is still coming in.
A variety of outfits were worn on the day in all different shades of pink with staff members across the country taking part with great pride.
Sevacare’s Chairman, Ravi Bains, said “We have a long-standing relationship with Breast Cancer Care. It is a very worthwhile cause that means a lot to us and we take great pride in fundraising for it. I am extremely pleased with the effort all employees have put in to raise money and raise awareness. It has been a pleasure raising money and was such an enjoyable event for all.”
The aim of the event was to raise awareness and money for people affected by Breast Cancer. The nationwide fundraiser continues throughout October and encourages participants to dress pink, eat pink and work pink to raise awareness for the excellent work Breast Cancer Care does.
Last year, Sevacare donated over £10,000 to Breast Cancer Care and continues to support the charity each year through a number of fundraising events for the cause.
