New company launched to provide homecare for people in Cardiff

Sally Pickersgill, Glenn Pickersgill, Michelle Fenwick and Jameela Rangoonwala Heritage Healthcare Cardiff has registered with the Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales (CSSIW) and will offer support to people who would like to remain living independently in their own homes.

The Director of Heritage Healthcare Cardiff, Jameela Rangoonwala is studying a Level 5 diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services to improve her knowledge within the care sector.

Ms Rangoonwala spoke of her dedication to improving people’s lives and said: “People want, and need, to stay in their own home where everything is familiar and family and friends can pop in any time.

“Heritage Healthcare Cardiff is dedicated to providing the highest standards of care to enable people to maintain their independence, remain living in their own home and enjoy an excellent quality of life.”

Susan Wetherall, a registered care manager, will offer support to Ms Rangoonwala. Ms Wetherall has 20 years of experience working within the care sector and has an NVQ Level 3 and 4 in Leadership and Management and is able to provide quality training for care staff.

Ms Rangoonwala added: “I am delighted to be working with Susan to make this a reality and provide the best possible home care for all communities within the Cardiff area.”

The new care provider will offer care for people in Cardiff and the surrounding area, including the option of care workers visiting individual homes, to assist with day to day tasks and personal care, on a long or short term basis.

Heritage Healthcare Cardiff will provide a supporting living service to anyone with a learning or physical disability, helping people get to work, attend leisure activities and visit shops.

Ms Wetherall and Ms Rangoonwala have selected a team of determined and knowledgeable care workers to deliver the best care to all clients.

Ms Wetherall said: “I am committed to building a fantastic team to provide the highest quality of care for our clients and their families, giving peace of mind to all concerned. I look at people as individuals and focus on what they can do and achieve with our support.
