Home care specialist, Helping Hands, has launched its newest high street branch this week in the UK’s second city, Birmingham.
Officially opened by Lord Mayor of Birmingham Yvonne Mosquito, a number of other special guests also attended the event including Helping Hands’ chairman Tim Lee, branch manager Marietjie Jones and existing customers and carers.
The Birmingham branch is based on Harborne High Street and will be the main base for carers delivering support across the city.
Ms Jones said, “It is a privilege to be able to support the people of Birmingham to be able to live independently. It means providing an alternative to residential care that not everyone knows is available to them”.
She continued, “We can provide people with everything from companionship to full personal care and medical support and I am so proud that we can offer such important support.”
Since 1989, the family-run company has specialised in visiting and live-in care and is an industry leader in the care sector. Now in it’s 30th year and employing over 3,500 carers, the trusted home care provider has supported over 40,000 families since its inception.
With 97 branches offering home care across England and Wales, Helping Hands hopes to open it’s one hundredth branch later this year enabling even more people to be cared for in the comforts of their own home.
