Alcester based home care agency Helping Hands has announced the opening of 21 new branches across the UK and are looking for new staff.
The branches, located in Greater Manchester and the South-West of England will create new vacancies for those looking to return to or start a career in the care sector. The service will provide specialised care to those in need, particularly during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Helping Hands will help people who are self-isolating or discharged early from hospital
Helping Hands chief executive, Andy Hogarth said: “We’re thrilled to announce the opening of our new branches, and we hope that we can support many people in need of an extra helping hand at home.
“We’re very much about focussing on the customer and what they want from their care, so that they can continue to be independent in the place where they feel their happiest.
“Although plans were in place to launch these new branches many months ago, its feels as though they are more important than ever in the current climate, enabling us to reach even more people who may have been discharged early from hospital or self-isolating and need vital care at home."
Ten new Helping Hands branches have opened across Manchester, including an office in Nantwich, and the remaining 11 branches have opened in Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Dorset. The jobs advertised include care workers, care coordinators, training coordinators and office staff.
Helping Hands has a network of over 100 branches across England and Wales where it provides visiting and live-in care support to people living with conditions such as dementia, Parkinson’s, and mobility difficulties. They also support clients for respite and palliative care.
The company employs more than 6,000 cares and has supported over 40,000 families since opening in 1989.
