The UK’s leading reviews site for home care has announced it is partnering with lifelong learning platform Qintil for this year’s Top 20 home care awards.

Every year, people who are disabled, elderly and those with health conditions who receive care at home, name the UK’s top home care providers. This is done by homecare.co.uk compiling thousands of reviews of home care agencies looking at elements such as the quality of care, overall standard, staff, management as well as value for money.

Choosing the right home care can be tough so these reviews are invaluable in giving people an insight into what is on offer where they live. During the pandemic, the contribution of home care workers has been invaluable as many vulnerable and elderly people have been forced to self-isolate and to some of these, care workers have been their only link with the rest of society. They have also been able to bring people living at home, the food and medication they desperately need.

With some home care providers often providing live in care, they are also offering an increasingly popular option for those who need care but feel safer in their own homes while COVID-19 infections are still high in the UK.

In order to run the awards, homecare.co.uk is partnering with Qintil, which produces a complete learning and compliance management system for home care providers with thousands of training courses, video classroom and document management features.

'We're very happy to be working alongside Qintil'

Simon Potter, sales director for homecare.co.uk said: “We are very happy to be working alongside Qintil Learning & Compliance Software for the homecare.co.uk 2020 Top 20 Home Care Awards. Every year home care clients and their families name the UK’s top agencies and the winners are based on thousands of reviews which are submitted.

“This is our seventh year running the awards and they grow in popularity each year; this is without doubt because they are exclusively based on the opinions of home care service users and their friends or family. Being able to display an award to care seekers highlights that the highest possible standards of care are being provided.”

Mr Potter added: “For us, the team at Qintil seemed a great fit due to their passionate support for the sector particularly in helping with compliance solutions; their lifelong learning platform makes life easier for home care providers and supports them in a range of areas, such as certification, training compliance, policies and procedures. It’s great to have them on board!”

'We're delighted to acknowledge the incredible work of everyone in the sector'

Sam Easen, director of Qintil, said: "Qintil was created for the care sector and we’re proud that so many incredible health and care professionals and their employers use Qintil everyday to learn and maintain skills and manage training and compliance. We are delighted to sponsor the homecare.co.uk 2020 Awards and to help acknowledge the incredible work of everyone in the sector.

“Qintil is a lifelong learning platform that's built for the way the world works today. You'll almost certainly have more than one job in your lifetime, and quite possibly more than one career. You might even work more than one job at once, or for a staffing agency.”

Mr Easen added: “We built Qintil so that you can find, share and manage everything that's essential for work - your learning, certificates, achievements and right to work docs - in one place. You can share them, connect to more than one employer's learning at one time and when you move to a new job, contract or career you can take it all with you and continue to add to your lifelong record of learning.

“This all helps employers too of course. Now there's an easy to way to get a record of new hires' learning and documents and to deliver their own training from any source. Our mission is to help everyone benefit from the thousands of ways there are to learn and to have one place to find, manage and share it all.”
