The Live In Care Company’s 24/7 care service involves a trained self-employed care worker moving into the home of a person needing support to provide care, companionship and domestic support, where required.

Embracing the changes we have faced this year

Luca Rado and Dr Neil Parrett founded the company in 2017 after working in the healthcare industry.

Co-founder Luca Rado said: “We are driven to continue sourcing only the best carers, and with the branding and company name now fully mirroring the service we provide, we are confident this will only increase our visibility to both prospective clients and carers seeking our expertise.

“Through the evolved brand, we are embracing the changes we have faced from the events of this year, which have resulted in a sharp increase in the number of people wishing to receive care at home. Post-pandemic, we are confident this business restructure will lead to further growth and recognition for future clients, carers and partners to come.”

Interest in live-in care services from the public has grown during the pandemic, resulting in more live-in care services.

Holm Care, based in Manchester is an introduction agency that introduces live-in self-employed carers who are directly managed by their clients.

Nik Seth founded Holm Care in May this year after finding it hard to get good care for his father. Holm Care has clients in Stockport, Manchester, Sale and Altrincham and plans to roll-out its services across the UK.

Alcedo Care Group has just launched a new live-in care division.

Alcedo Care expects to create over 40 new jobs before the end of the year and has national expansion plans in 2021 as it believes demand for live-in care services over the next few years will be strong.

Alcedo Care, run by Andy and Jo Boardman, is available across the North West. Andy Boardman, managing director at Alcedo Care, said: “There is a real desire to keep loved ones safe and well at home, which has, without doubt, intensified during the recent pandemic.

“Many families were not able to provide the care required due to lockdown restrictions and we saw a big increase in the number of enquiries for 24/7 care at home. Our new live-in care service addresses this need, providing both long term and short-term support that is flexible.”
