Lucy Campbell, chief operating officer at home care provider Right at Home UK has been named as Woman Franchisor of the Year at the NatWest EWiF (Encouraging Women into Franchising) Awards.
The award was open to women in senior management roles and the competition was very strong.
During the awards ceremony, it was mentioned that the judges were impressed with Lucy’s unwavering commitment to strive for continuous improvement which is mirrored across the network, and her hands-on, can-do approach to supporting franchise owners to achieve their goals.
'She is an inspiration to anyone looking to join the sector'
Ms Campbell said: “I am absolutely delighted to win this award. I have been involved with EWiF for a number of years now and have always been inspired by its members and the work it does to encourage more women into franchising.
“This recognition is a great personal achievement but it is also reflective of the network’s hard work and dedication to achieving our mutual goal of becoming the UK’s most trusted home care and franchising brand, and it is this collective effort that enables us to win such awards.”
Ms Campbell’s award win comes fresh off the back of two Right at Home entries in What Franchise’s ‘100 Most Influential Women in Franchising’ list earlier this month, which includes some of the biggest names in the international franchising space.
Ms Campbell was named in the ‘services and care’ list and Amy Patel Popat, co-franchise owner of Right at Home Solent, was included in the ‘rock star franchisee’ category.
Ken Deary, Right at Home UK chief executive, said: “This is a tremendous accolade and Lucy is a very worthy winner. She is an inspiration to anyone looking to join the sector and we are very proud of her achievements.”
EWiF, a not-for-profit organisation which provides advice and guidance to anyone looking to break into the franchise industry, holds an annual awards ceremony designed to celebrate the achievements of women in franchising. This year, the awards took place online, bringing together over 150 franchise professionals in celebration of the successes of women across the UK.
Helen Mansfield, managing director of EWiF, said: “The rise in the number of women who are breaking into franchising and carving out their own businesses in this industry, is such a joy to see.
“We have been encouraging women to consider franchising as a route for business success since 2008, and are honoured to be able to recognise Lucy for her contribution to franchising.”
