Alcedo Care expands home care services and jobs to Chester

Home care group Alcedo Care has opened a new office on New Crane Street in Chester bringing the total number of Alcedo Care offices in the North West to nine.

The new office will cover the Wirral, Ellesmere Port and North Wales with a team of 10 administrative staff and 30 carers delivering personal care, support, companionship and nursing services to those who wish to remain independent in their own homes.

Managing director at Alcedo Care, Andy Boardman, said: “We’ve had many enquiries for our services from Chester and North Wales recently and are delighted to be able to respond to the demand with a dedicated office to serve this region.”

Alcedo Care is already looking to grow the new office and recruit a further 50 carers with the aim of delivering more than 1,000 weekly care hours across the region by the end of this year.

“In addition to helping existing and potential new clients with high-quality value for money care services that will enrich lives and support independence, the new office will also create in excess of 50 new jobs for qualified and compassionate carers,” said Mr Boardman.

The new office represents a £200,000 investment for the home care group and supports the company’s ambitious plans to take its home care services to all areas of the North West over the next few years.

The opening of Chester and complements the company’s existing bases in Southport, Blackpool, Preston, Lancaster, Liverpool, Wigan, St Helens and Bury.

Established in 2017 and Run by husband and wife team Andy and Jo Boardman, the company aims to bring something different to the sector based on recruiting only the very best carers and retaining them by placing value on job satisfaction, training, continued professional development, internal promotion prospects and pay structure.

Alcedo Care recruitment programme will include an interview followed by an extensive training programme and hands-on experience.
