Nine members of staff at a home care provider in Oldham are planning to take a leap of faith from 10,000 ft in memory of a colleague who is “greatly” missed.
Home Instead (Oldham & Saddleworth) are set to jump out of a plane and do a freefall tandem skydive in June in memory of their former colleague Howard who died in February at the age of 76.
Howard passed away on 13 February this year at the age of 76. The team"miss him greatly" and the skydive is their way of keeping his memory alive, while hoping to raise £3,555 for Home Instead Charities.
Mick Sheehan, managing director of Home Instead Oldham and Saddleworth, said: “Howard was a kind, happy and caring person who loved giving back to his community. He did an amazing job caring for our clients during the five years he worked for us.
“The money raised will be donated to Home Instead Charities, who will provide a grant to a local cancer support group – a group that was very close to Howard’s heart.”
