Top home care reviews site now lets people receiving care leave reviews via social media

The UK's top home care reviews site, homecare.co.uk, has launched a new service enabling home care companies to ask people receiving care and their family and friends to leave reviews of them via Facebook, Twitter and Whatsapp.

There are currently over 41,000 reviews of home care providers on homecare.co.uk, boosting transparency and giving people looking for home care, a valuable insight into what home care is really like from the viewpoint of the person receiving care and their family and friends.

Up till now homecare.co.uk’s Invite to Review feature meant home care providers could email links to people encouraging them to leave a review.

But now, providers can create an invitation for people to review their services on Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp.

Hollie Brown, product manager at homecare.co.uk, said: “From feedback, we knew home care staff were frequently copying the links to their review forms.

"We wanted to make this process more streamlined by providing them with a range of new methods to invite reviews from service users, family and friends.

“Our aim is to give people as much choice as possible when inviting them to review a home care service, which is why we’ve released these new ways of doing it through social media.

“We hope this will encourage more people to leave reviews of home care companies so we can help make people’s search to find the right care provider easier.”

Each home care review is checked for authenticity by homecare.co.uk’s dedicated reviews team, to ensure people are seeing genuine feedback from people who have used the home care provider.

As well as written feedback, reviewers can rate home care companies on a variety of factors, from their management to service users being treated with dignity as well as value for money.

The amalgamation of these ratings creates an average review score for each home care agency, with the highest-scoring home care providers winning awards each year.

Home care providers wanting to create an invitation for people to review their services on Facebook, Twitter or Whatsapp need to log onto their homecare.co.uk control panel inviting the person receiving care and their families and friends to review them.
