The CQC inspectors found high levels of staff satisfaction and care workers explained they “felt they could build a meaningful career” with the company being the best they had ever worked for.

One staff member said: "I am blown away with this company, I have no regrets coming here. The management are fantastic. I have fantastic job satisfaction."

Inspectors recognised in the report that Carefound Home Care “has a proven track record of providing exceptional care” and “being a role model to other services”.

They also highlighted the company’s use of technology and focus on improving people’s health outcomes and reducing the risk of hospital admissions.

A healthcare professional told inspectors: "If I had a relative that needed care I would use this provider. They go above and beyond in their support and care they provide."

Jade Farnsworth, registered branch manager for Carefound Home Care (West Bridgford), said: “Receiving an Outstanding CQC rating at our first inspection has been amazing. As a team, we could not be happier, and I’m delighted to be able to share the news with our local community in Nottinghamshire.”

“The care and commitment of our West Bridgford team has been truly recognised in the published report and I’m so proud of each and every one of my colleagues, especially given the challenges of launching our service during the pandemic.

“It was quoted in the report that 'people were at the heart of the service', which for us not only includes our clients but also their wider families and our incredible staff.”

Inspectors also highlighted the provider's focus was to ensure people received the ‘opportunity to enjoy later life’ and ‘flourish’ with the support of ‘highly trained, compassionate and caring staff’. Clients and relatives told inspectors this had resulted in people ‘regaining their independence, improved mobility and positive experiences for people living with dementia.’

'This is testament to the brilliant people we employ across our teams’

Carefound Home Care was founded by Oliver Stirk in 2012. The company has other home care branches in Carefound Home Care (Harrogate) and Carefound Home Care (Wilmslow) which are also rated outstanding by the CQC.

Carefound Home Care (West Bridgford) first opened its doors in September 2020 and provides personalised home care services to older people across the Nottinghamshire area.

Mr Stirk said: “I’m so proud of our team in West Bridgford who work tirelessly to maximise the well-being of the families we care for and ensure our staff receive the best support and opportunities out there.

“This achievement makes Carefound Home Care unique in the country with all of our branches rated outstanding by the CQC and is testament to the brilliant people we employ across our teams and their compassion, hard work and dedication.”

Inspectors also found there was a good career progression within the company. Staff were supported and encouraged to work through the structured promotion scheme.

Staff benefitted from increased in-work benefits and pay when they progressed. Many staff had followed this process and reported significantly high levels of job satisfaction. This led to low staff turnover, consistent care for people and high levels of satisfaction with the care provided for people.

Natalie Reed, CQC head of adult social care inspection, said: “When we inspected Carefound Home Care, we were extremely impressed by the level of support people received and found a service that provided outstanding care to people in their own homes.

“There was a strong and visible person-centred culture and staff cared for people in a way that exceeded expectations. People, relatives and health and social care professionals praised the approach of staff and commented on the positive impact they had made on people’s lives.

“The whole team deserve to be congratulated for all their hard work and commitment.”
