Living Well Showcase & Virtual Dementia Tour Bus - 23rd May 2024, Horsforth

Join us on May 23rd, 2024, as Right at Home Leeds North, Otley, and Horsforth team up with Dementia Friendly Horsforth to host a special event aimed at fostering understanding, support, and community engagement for those living with dementia in North Leeds and beyond.

This event, open to caregivers and the wider public of Horsforth, Yeadon, Rawdon, Guiseley, Adel, Bramhope, and surrounding areas, will be held at Lister Hill Baptist Church in Horsforth (LS18 5PW). It's a fantastic opportunity to connect with local resources and support networks (such as Homecare services North Leeds), all while enjoying informative sessions and entertainment.

Who should attend? With 1 in 11 individuals over the age of 65 in the UK living with dementia, this event is vital for anyone affected by dementia or interested in learning more. But it's not just about memory loss; the Living Well Showcase aims to promote understanding and unity within our community, providing support to all including but not limited to, the elderly.

What can you expect? From 10:30 AM to 2 PM, explore 25 stalls offering valuable information and signposting. Additionally, from 10:30 AM until 4:30 PM, immerse yourself in the Virtual Dementia Tour Bus, providing a glimpse into some of the potential daily challenges of living with dementia.

Throughout the day, participate in Dementia Friends Information Sessions, Lived Experience interviews, entertainment, hands-on activities, training, and refreshments. Keep an eye on our latest blog for further updates:
