Home Instead East enjoyed a hugely successful outing at the recent Royal Norfolk Show, held on June 26th and 27th, 2024. With sunshine gracing the event, it proved to be a fantastic day for everyone involved.

The highlight of Home Instead East's presence was undoubtedly the Virtual Dementia Tour bus. This innovative and medically proven experience attracted over 100 attendees, offering them a glimpse into the world of dementia.

Through advanced technology that alters sight, sound, and touch, participants gained a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by individuals living with dementia in their daily lives. "Raising awareness of dementia is crucial," says Tom McEwan, owner of Home Instead East. "But providing a real-life experience like the Virtual Dementia Tour Bus is truly transformative. By stepping into someone else's shoes, participants develop a powerful sense of empathy for those living with this condition."

Tom further emphasises Home Instead East's commitment to dementia care: "The Virtual Dementia Tour Bus is a vital tool for building understanding. This immersive experience bridges the gap between those with dementia and their loved ones, empowering them to provide better support for each other." About Home Instead East
