Local Youth Football Team Receives New Kit Thanks to Local Care Team

Bluebird Care Newark & Sherwood, a local home care provider, has sponsored away kit for RHP Colts Green U8, a youth football team based in Newark.

The team, made up of seven and eight-year-olds from across the area, recently received their new away kit featuring a jazzy new design and the Bluebird Care logo.

The kit was well received by the players, including team goalkeeper Oliver Barnsdale, whose mother, Kerry Barnsdale, is a valued member of the Bluebird Care Newark & Sherwood team.

Kerry has been part of the Bluebird Care Newark & Sherwood family for over two years, while Oliver has played a pivotal role in the Colts' journey over the past year.

RHP Colts Green U8, a five-a-side team competing mainly in the Nottinghamshire area, has made remarkable progress since its formation.

Although the team faced challenges during their early matches, their perseverance has paid off, and this season they’ve been promoted to a new league. The players were thrilled to receive their much-anticipated away kit, which they hope will bring extra confidence and team spirit to their games.

Speaking about the sponsorship, Kerry shared: “Seeing the team’s excitement when they received their new away kit was incredible – they were delighted. I may be biased, but they’ve worked so hard and grown so much, and it means a lot to have the team at Bluebird Care supporting them. As both a carer and a parent, I’m proud to see my workplace giving back to the community in such a meaningful way.”
