We are delighted to announce we are now able to offer an all-in-one health monitoring device which is helping to detect health concerns earlier, reduce unnecessary hospital admissions and provide much needed peace of mind to clients and their families. The Whzan Blue Box is an NHS approved assessment tool, designed to track vital signs such as blood oxygen, blood pressure and pulse to quickly detect signs of deterioration and illness. This state-of-the-art technology is allowing us to deliver health checks to our clients in the comfort of their own home. As an approved assessment tool by the NHS, readings speak the healthcare universal language used by hospitals, ambulance service and GP’s. It provides the data healthcare professionals need to ensure they can respond appropriately. The Blue Box has been proven to reduce unnecessary hospital admissions alongside helping to quickly identify signs of health deterioration and more serious health issues such as sepsis ensuring medical attention is prioritised. Clare Coke, Director of Right at Home Lymm & Warrington South says: “Families want their loved ones to remain independent at home however this can sometimes cause safety and wellbeing concerns. We believe this tool, together with our usual care visits, will give our clients and their families that much needed peace of mind. Our CareGivers will be able to respond quickly to concerns from clients, check their vital signs and activity and ensure further investigation if it is needed.”
How does The Blue Box work? The Whzan Blue Box allows trained team members to take secure, non-invasive health checks including blood oxygen, blood pressure, pulse, temperature and respiratory rate. It then seamlessly complies all the data into a score known as the National Early Warning Score (NEWS2). The NEWS2 system is a universal language used across the NHS, GP’s, hospitals, ambulance services and more. Each NEWS score indicates the level of urgency ranging from Low, Medium and High. A high score would suggest medical attention is needed urgently and allow CareGivers and health professionals to respond appropriately. As the same scoring system is used by ambulance services, it has actually been known to speed up their response time to emergency calls as it has given them the needed information to effective triage.
