We often work on our own, so remembering you are part of a team is very important. This is especially true during hard times and difficult situations. Whilst your FCS is always available to support, sometimes there is nothing like having a chat with a co-worker. This award recognises several areas of the value of a true team player. Someone who sees together we are stronger, and we can only deliver fantastic care by working as one. We all must start somewhere, and this care worker has helped many new CSW’s shadow her taking the time to go through each call, use of the ACP and to ensure that they know everything there is to know about each client. She has incredible attention to detail and her communication forms are always a joy to read, sometimes blunt, sometimes showing her brilliant sense of humour but always has the client’s best interests at heart. This care worker brings delight to her clients, alas some would like her to work 7 days a week and take no holiday……not sure she is up for that, but what she does is help others get going and who better to show the newbies how its done.
