Louisa Evans, who has worked for Care Wyvern for the last 9 years as a Senior Social Care worker has won the prestigious Tim Catley-Day award which was set up in memory of the late Managing Director of a Somerset Care Provider who passed away in 2004. The award recognises excellence in any Domiciliary, Care/Support or Care at Home capacity across Somerset. Louisa was one of three finalists and was adjudged the winner at the Care Focus gala award event held in Taunton on 10th October.

Louisa impressed the judges with her compassion, her dedication and the quality of her work telling them “My job is so satisfying and I get so much more back from it. I love making a difference to people’s lives and making them smile when life does not always give them something to smile about.”

Ru Newman, Care Wyvern's MD said “I am so pleased to see Louisa win this award which is very well-deserved and recognises her dedication to her community over the last nine years and acknowledges the wonderful job that she does and her desire to help her many regular clients. Everyone within the company congratulates her on this success. “

“I would also like to mention Louisa's colleagues and commend the great work they all do to help so many members of our local community and I hope that one or other of them might receive similar county-wide recognition in future.”
