View Full Details of Bluebird Care Alton, Petersfield & HavantBluebird offered a very supportive service for my relative. Initially she was very anxious about having someone in her home and was particularly concerned about having help with personal care. It only took a few visits before she was looking forward to the daily visit and felt she had a very good relationship with all the carers. The carers also offered the opportunity for her to talk about her changing circumstances with someone who fully understood what she was going through.
Exceptional! I am a parent of three neurodiverse children and for a long time, my confidence in the system to support my child was non-existent. However, meeting the team at Bluebird Care, who I now trust, value, respect and have the utmost confidence in has been truly inspirational. I have trust issues with the majority of professionals and I feel like society does not give a fair chance to SEN children. I cannot express my gratitude for Bluebird Care. They go above and beyond for the needs of SEN children. I've had the pleasure of meeting one member of staff, in particular, who is truly remarkable with her patience, empathy, confidence and her ability to make sure my son has the correct work and emotional support completed. I am a diagnosed parent with needs also and even the support that I get is truly outstanding. If anyone is in a position like I was with having no confidence in the system, please contact Bluebird. Being recognised for being an understanding, empathetic company for SEN parents is magnificent.
Good overall. Some staff excellent at whatever task asked of them, others not so sure and really need training as they are all very willing to learn. All were aware of dignity of client, were gentle and caring.
My sister and I decided to get my mother live-in care as her vascular dementia became a lot worse after a fall. We were really worried about doing so, as my mother had always been adamant that she did not want anyone else living in her home. We needn't have worried as she hit it off almost immediately with her wonderful carer and now sees her as part of the family. Mum tells us that her carer is so easy to get along with and, like herself, has a wicked sense of humour. My sister or I go over each day to give the carer a break and feel so reassured that mum is eating properly and her home is being kept beautifully clean. She also really benefits from the companionship. We have no regrets whatsoever in employing Bluebird to provide live-in care.
Bluebird Care has been amazing right from our very first meeting with the care manager. My mum had just returned from hospital after a couple of falls and, as a family, we were not sure how we were going to support her. The care manager quickly put our minds at ease and set up morning and evening care which started on the very next day. Despite saying she did not want or need care, Mum loves everyone on her team and all of her care assistants treat her with dignity and respect. From being bedbound, with the wonderful support from Bluebird Care, Mum is now mobile and getting stronger every day. We cannot thank them enough. Outstanding care.
My dad has returned home after a fall and long stay in hospital/respite care. It has only been possible for him to be at home with the excellent care that Bluebird Care has provided. There are three main things that have been really important: professional, responsive care; very good communication and thirdly, exceptional service. For example, someone visited both my dad in his care home and myself to hear what he needed from both our perspectives. The first few weeks of care visits were flexible and meant my dad could see what worked/who he liked and felt most comfortable with. It is evident that the team communicate as I'll receive updates about anything he might need/want. Any queries, I am able to email the office direct. The team have helped with tasks, such as changing the bed, which my dad can no longer do, and advised on things to support his health and fitness. Not living close by, the team's attention to detail is very much appreciated.
Bluebird Care has really helped my mum who has dementia, a condition that has worsened over the last year. Nearly all the carers have been very considerate and have allowed Mum to maintain her dignity whist her continence and ability to dress and care for herself have deteriorated. My mum was always ready to laugh and thoroughly enjoyed the company. The reason we have ended the care package is because my mum's condition had reached a stage where she was no longer safe in her own home and had to move into full-time care.
I found the carer undertrained. She could not cook English basic food, she was unable to drive for any shopping or outings and panicked if I said I felt ill. She managed to break my cooker, as no one else was doing any cooking, and told me that although I had broken my hip, she would not come if I called in the night.
An excellent care provider with excellent staff both visiting the home and in the office also. My Mum always looked forward to the carer's visits and the help they gave was invaluable to her. When Mum fell the carer was so professional yet still gave Mum words of comfort which helped immensely while waiting for the ambulance.
I have had six different carers during the month since starting with your company. They have all been extremely good. However, I do find the lack of continuity rather confusing, especially as I suffer from dementia. Rightly or wrongly I have the impression the administrative side of the company is not as professional as the carers themselves.
I became a service user/client in May 2024 and was very impressed with my first enquiry telephone call to Bluebird Care, which was answered with interest, help, empathy, understanding and respect which I really appreciated. All the staff are kind, helpful and supportive. Recently, while the carer was with me when I received a telephone call telling me a very dear friend of more than forty-five years had died, the carer was so supportive and kind which I will never forget. Bliebird gives support, care, encouragement and company. I am no longer alone. Thank you.
Bluebird has been great! My mother-in-law was reluctant to accept she needed some care but the initial meeting was so gentle and thorough, it put her mind at rest. The regular carer is absolutely lovely and my mother-in-law looks forward to her visit. Thank you, Bluebird.
We’ve had an extremely positive experience with Bluebird. They have been both supportive and caring for my mother, without being intrusive. The carers themselves have been delightful, helping mum when necessary and very pleasant to deal with. Support from the office has also been great. Many thanks.
My mother is always pleased with the service she receives and both of us are very happy with all that they do. The carers are very kind and supportive, help in many ways.
I find Bluebird most willing to do anything you require and enquire how you feel and if you don't sound healthy or happy they report it to the office. They are always happy and cheerful and leave you feeling the same.
I have been extremely pleased with the care my mother has received and every member of staff I have met has been courteous and helpful. It is reassuring that their systems inform you of the carer who will be visiting and the time of their arrival. They actually listen which makes a huge difference. So far I am impressed with their service.
The regular carer is very helpful, she phoned me to let me know when food is running out and toilet paper. She is also helpful at bedtime leaving my mother-in-law's bedtime pants out with her night clothes to remind her to wear them. She is very polite and they seem to be getting on really well.
I have had a daily carer from Bluebird for the last 18 months to wash/shower and dress my wife who is confined to a wheelchair and suffers from dementia. Without exception, the carers provided by Bluebird have provided first-class support and dealt with a wide range of challenges with calmness and professionalism. Bluebird have been responsive to changes in requirements from the timing of visits to the adoption of new showering facilities. Online access to their care management system gives instant access and assurance when last-minute changes to the carer or visit times are necessary.
Service has been very good and in keeping with what I expect from Bluebird. My care was transferred from Coventry to Portsmouth when I stayed with my daughter for three weeks and the handover was excellent.
I am very happy with Bluebird Care and am extremely grateful for their help.
