View Full Details of Westminster Homecare (Braintree)I'm treated very well. She's reliable and trustworthy.
I wrote a review a little while ago but it has got worse. For 2 days I had no carers at all and nearly every day I get a no-show or late or early call. They stopped the cleaning they used to do without telling me and when I complain to the office, everyone I speak to says they are sorry and will sort it out but it stays the same.
I have been a service user for six years and have witnessed the decline of the companies attitude towards its clients. There was a time when clients preferences were taken into consideration but not anymore it seems. This attitude has been adopted over the last 2 or 3 years and basically it's wrong. People in a situation where they depend on carers to shower/dress/put them in bed and take care of their toiletry needs and personal hygiene find it very embarrassing and undignifying to have to go through the whole experience of exposing themselves and explaining there needs to a relative stranger. You build up a rapport with your regular carers and they know how to cater for all your personal needs. Their only concern seems to be for themselves and how to get the calls covered and think nothing of removing your regular carer and replacing them with someone who hasn't got a clue. It isn't the carers fault, they're just expected to get on with it. On the occasions this has happened I have contacted the relevant members of staff and received a negative like it or lump it response.
