They carer for my mother 4 times a day and over Christmas due to family issue we needed them to care for my mother due the Christmas period which the carers met all of my requirements making sure that my mother enjoyed her Christmas
Home Instead have cared for my mother for several years, the carers always go above and beyond, everyone is warm and friendly. My mother looks forward to her visits and I feel happy that she is well looked after when I can't be there. I am always kept updated by office staff and they are quick to respond to any questions I may have.
The Home Instead team of carers has made a significant improvement to my 93-year-old mother's well-being since we started the visits last year. Not only have the carers attended to her physical needs but, just as important, they have provided wonderful and varied company for my mother. Her outlook on life has benefited from the interest and warmth shown by the carers. The management team has been responsive to any suggestions, questions, or concerns that may come up. We are impressed and grateful to the entire Home Instead team and would recommend them without hesitation.
We have been so impressed with the lovely service and professionalism of everyone. As a family, it gives us peace of mind that someone will pop by every day. I would definitely recommend this team to anyone.
Our carers are always punctual, pleasant and helpful.
Home Instead supported my parents over a very difficult time, including a house move and emergency hospital admission over Xmas. The carers were reliable, professional, kind, practical and caring. They were invariably cheerful too and increased the care with very short notice. The management team also were organised and helpful. Our family are so grateful to the whole team, and a very special individual carer.
We started to think about carers after my dad had a couple of falls and was admitted to hospital, he lives with myself and my husband but we were worried about being able to do everything as we work. I’d seen adverts on the TV, so called and made an appointment for someone to come and visit Dad. They have been amazing, Dad looks forward to the visits in the morning which is when we need them but also occasionally in the evening if needed. The carers we have always make the time to chat and are always cheerful, one in particular always goes the extra mile Would highly recommend Home Instead
Home Instead have provided carers for my daughter who has Down's syndrome for nearly 9 years, enabling her to take an active part in the community. They have always taken great care in choosing carers that are compatible with her needs. They go with her to swimming club, and take her to her art class and day centre. She also enjoys a shopping trip and lunch out once a week. In the holidays they often have special trips to places of interest. I cannot speak more highly of the care she has received, I can relax and know she is in safe hands.
Home Instead started looking after our parents in early summer 2023. All the care pros won Mum over with their friendliness and warmth she loved their chats. She sadly died in July but Home Instead have been a wonderful support to Dad and us, he has three visits a day we know he’s eaten well and any issues are quickly dealt with. It’s reassuring to know that Dad is cared for in such a kindly way, not just physically but his total wellbeing. Seeing Dad still in his own home at 96 is all down to Home Instead.
We have been using Home Instead for some months now. The communication between us and the office is good. There are some amazing Care pros that we highly commend. I love Home Instead and have been so impressed that I've applied for a position with them local to me.
Having had zero previous experience of care providers, I was extremely anxious when first considering a care package for my parents (to whom I have always been extremely close). Fiercely independent, there was no doubt that they wanted to remain in the family home but it was becoming increasingly difficult for them to cope alone. I need not have been concerned, as the Home Instead team (which came via a personal recommendation) was sensitive and compassionate to deal with from the start and made the whole process easy. They have provided an increasing level of care as my parents' needs have evolved and, for the last three years, my parents have had a live in carer. My mother died late last year and, since then, the care and companionship provided by my father's carers has been exemplary. While Home Instead aren't the cheapest, I firmly believe (having spoken to friends with experience of other care providers) that you get what you pay for. I couldn't recommend Home Instead highly enough.
My mother was looked after by Home Instead carers for two years up until a few weeks ago when she went into a care home because her house was no longer suitable for her needs. I cannot recommend Home Instead highly enough. The carers were reliable, kind, caring and efficient. The office staff, in particular, her manager were always available if I needed to talk about any issues and the scheduling staff were friendly and accommodating. Over the two years, my mother's needs increased and Home Instead were able to manage those changes and offer advice. Unfortunately, her house now needs a lot of work doing to it and under the circumstances we have taken the difficult decision to move her to residential care. She has settled well but misses her carers and speaks very warmly of them. The family is very grateful to Home Instead for helping her stay at home for as long as possible.
My Godfather for whom I also had a power of attorney as he had no family, had a couple of falls, went into hospital and was discharged into a care home. He wanted to return home. He had been having daily care visits before, but he now needed live-in care. After a false start with one agency who let me down, I got in touch with Home Instead. Their managing director and her deputy took charge, and he came home under their care last October, aged 92. They dealt with the GP and pharmacy etc. which took the pressure off me as I was not geographically close. When he needed care at night, they put that in place. The deputy manager was always contactable and they kept me appropriately informed. Their carers were kind and compassionate. My godfather achieved his aim of living out his final days at home. Not cheap, and there probably are cheaper agencies - but I was let down by one, and wanted the agency to take responsibility, as I was not close by, which they did.
I would like to commend one particular member of staff for her outstanding attention to detail tonight regarding my misunderstanding of my mother's morning medication. I was wrong. The carer was absolutely right. She is a superlative carer and my mother is extremely fond of her. A credit to Home Instead. Regards.
I have been a client of Home Instead for eight years now. The service I receive is above excellent. My carers always go the extra mile. I get up and go to bed smiling! I like the fact my carers dont wear uniforms and don't treat me like just a client.
Home Instead has cared for my mother for several years, has had excellent care, and any issues have always been sorted out very promptly. Would not use any other provider - very happy with everything.
For a few years now we have used Home Instead (Guildford and Woking) for companion visits to my son. They have always acted with utmost professionalism and compassion and have ensured that there's continuity of care. This is so important to build a rapport between the client and carer and my son considers his carer as a friend. I know that they always have my son's best interest at heart and this is so reassuring. I would recommend them without any hesitation.
The service for Mum and Dad has been exceptional over the last four months. The support given to them and myself have been very welcomed. We are all very pleased with the help being provided, and Mum and Dad look forward to the home visits.
I cannot recommend Home Instead highly enough. They came to look after my mother aged 96. She is now 101 and built up a great relationship with staff so she thinks of the carers as her friends whilst still dealing with the most personal care. The team are charming fun efficient and helpful. They are such a fabulous team and they have adjusted their care as my mother's needs have changed, They got her the equipment she needed the next day. They are lovely to have around and trustworthy. They know their tasks and keep calm in any situation. They are simply life changing for both me and my mum.
Home Instead are visiting my Mother at the weekends and when her other carer is away. Mother seems to prefer (dementia so hard to tell) the Home Instead people. She looks forward to their visits and sees them as more like companions than carers. Her carers are thoughtful and helpful and seek help when they need it (medications get moved around a lot!). The Home Instead carers are very caring and have listened to my Mother and to me so that Mother gets fab care. It's a huge relief for me and my brother as we get the visit reports after each visit so know how she is. I am hugely grateful to Home Instead who are giving Mother great help and who give me confidence in her care. Thank you all!
