View Full Details of Seniors Helping Seniors (UK) Ltd - CanterburySeniors Helping Seniors have been caring for our elderly friend for some time. Without any family she would not have been able to care for herself and would have needed a care home. She loved the care she received and was very fond of each member of staff who came on the four days a week she received help with washing and dressing.
We contacted the service for help with my Father, in particular some social visits. The service was promptly set up following a home visit and the carers well matched. At the initial visit, all aspects were discussed directly with my Father to ensure he fully understood what was being proposed, as well as with myself.
Seniors Helping Seniors has provided companionship care for my mother for the past 18 months. The management team are highly professional but also delivers a very personal service. They are easy to contact and always return calls or emails promptly. The companionship carers who have visited Mum are of a very high standard. They are trustworthy, very caring, reliable and have build excellent relationships with my mother. They will always go the extra mile to help and support her. I could not ask for anything better.
From the very first contact I had with the staff at SHS they have been amazing. We started off slowly as we had major 'push backs' from our parents but through the guidance of all their carers we have increased the visits to twice a day, 7 days a week. Every single one of the carers have been loving, caring, considerate and very dedicated during their visits. Nothing has been too much trouble .Their 'open dialogue' has been so helpful in keeping us up to date on how our parents are doing ( both my sister and I live overseas). We trust them totally to do whatever is in the best interests of our Mum and Dad. I could not recommend them more highly.
Mom has been supported by SHS for a few years providing companionship and general daily help such cooking meals, managing the yard and flowers, helping with the pharmacies, taking her to her local surgery center, and so forth. My sister and I were very reliant on SHS, as we live in the US, and had been very happy with her carers as was Mom. When mom's cancer started to accelerate, we requested almost 24 hour personal care. As it was almost last minute, SHS marvelously were able to get current carers to extend their hours as well as bring on wonderful new ones. The level of care and concern of the carers for my mom till she passed was exemplary and won't be forgotten; some even attended her service.
Our experience with Seniors Helping Seniors was excellent. They were able to provide bespoke companion care to my father with extremely short notice in a pragmatic, flexible and user-friendly way. The team and the carer herself went to great lengths to understand our personal circumstances as a family and my father's needs as a person. He was treated with respect, compassion and warmth at a time where he had no insight into his level of needs. The carer herself was responsive to our suggestions and she also showed initiative in identifying activities that my father would enjoy. Photos of my father smiling whilst out with the carer were some of the most positive moments we had during a very difficult time for us as a family. We will be approaching this agency again as our first port of call if our circumstances need care again.
My father is very happy with the support he gets from Seniors. They have been very reliable and accommodating and we were impressed that when he recently asked for his care to be every day this was rapidly organised.
Since engaging Seniors helping Seniors i have found them to be caring, prompt, thorough and professional, and both my husband and myself are very pleased with the companion Seniors helping Seniors has introduced us too.
Seniors Helping Seniors (SHS) have been supporting my mother for over three years. She is in her 90s and SHS support has enabled her to remain living independently in her own home. She says how much she likes all of the staff who support her and feels comfortable with each. SHS are flexible if she needs extra help or reduced help when family members stay over with her. I and my siblings feel confident that we can rely on SHS to help keep our mother safe and cared for when we are not able to be with her.
We are having a brilliant experience with Seniors Helping Seniors. My mum loves her carers. They not only make sure that she is cared for physically, but they laugh with her and make sure she can keep up her hobbies. They really brighten her day. The service is also very well organised and flexible. Thank you so much for looking after my lovely mum x
SHS have been a fantastic reliable help to our family as we have sought to support my 82 year old mum through a long recovery and rehabilitation after brain surgery. In the early days of NHS care from hospital coming to an end, SHS helped us plan a seamless transition to their carers supporting and enabling mum alongside family. It was lovely to have the same 2 or 3 helpers introduced to mum and we have built up a great relationship since then. To start with, mum needed daily help including some personal care but as she improved it was v easy from week to week to adjust and reduce this to less frequent 'companion care'- like shopping trips, helping with meal planning, cleaning etc. which is all she needs now. It felt overwhelming at first to navigate all the care options and try to work out what was best for mum and also how much I could or couldn't take on as her daughter, but SHS really helped with this process and we recommend them highly!
Seniors helping Seniors have been absolutely fantastic. Originally I contacted them to organise someone to visit my mum for a couple of hrs once a week, unfortunately my mum's needs changed and they were brilliant at providing the extra care she needed at very short notice which made the situation much less stressful for me. Two staff members have been wonderful at sorting out the carers and also providing the right ones for my mum. My mum has been so pleased with all the carers, they have been so kind and caring. I cannot recommend this company highly enough.
My mum is 95. I was going away over Christmas and Mum wanted to stay at her home but did not want to cook or eat alone. Service for Seniors introduced her to a lovely lady. In the lead-up to Christmas they had a couple of 'get to know you' visits, then the lovely lady mentioned came on Christmas Day, took care of the meal, cleared up and kept my mum company. She loved it! And it gave me great peace of mind.
My experience with care agency has been top rate! They have always been very responsive to our emails and go out of their way to accommodate Mum's needs wherever possible. She is very happy with the care she is receiving. I would recommend the agency to anyone. XX
I live abroad which makes looking after my sensory-impaired mum-in-law difficult. After trying different care agencies I came across Seniors Helping Seniors. They made sure my blind and almost deaf mum-in-law got to know her carers well, allowing months to introduce a new face to her. Over the time of one year, she now has 4 regular carers, whom she knows well and likes very much. They are excellent at looking after her, treating her with warmth and dignity and making sure she understands what is going on around her. In emergency situations Seniors Helping Seniors carers adapted to the increase of care needed immediately, giving me invaluable peace of mind. Any requests from my side are immediately responded to by the management and they are proactive in keeping me up to date and suggesting necessary adaptations to the care schedule.
The carers have been very prompt, efficient and caring of me. I have enjoyed their company and daily visits. This has been the second time we have used their services and it has worked very well.
I am very pleased with the standard of care l am receiving from my carer she is very caring and considerate, nothing is too much trouble, whatever she is asked to do in what I think is not a very pleasant job. She is very pleasant and cheerful and is very helpful and friendly all the time and I thank her very much for taking such good care of me.
The carer is excellent. Caring, considerate, always goes the extra mile. Always very obliging and really does her job well. I would recommend her and her holiday stand-in did very well.
Last year I contacted Seniors Helping Seniors after my 89-year-old father-in-law had a stroke. Seniors were great from the start, the manager visited us all and made my father-in-law very quickly at ease. He then introduced my father-in-law to his carer or as my father-in-law called her (his little Angel). The carer proved to be an absolute godsend, she made both my father-in-law and my life so much easier. Nothing was too much trouble for her, she was so kind. The whole company were really great and I can't recommend them enough.
I was very impressed with the excellent service and would definitely use Seniors Helping Seniors again.
