View Full Details of Embracing CareThis company were appointed by the Council to visit my stepmother for 4 x 30 min visits a day after she fell and broke her hip. She is 90 yrs old.....in the 6 weeks that they came, she did not have a shower or her hair washed. They spent 5 mins in the house on each visit, scanned their phones, refused to assist in any way and then left...she was forced to get her own meals, cups of tea and tidy up as best she could.....on the last day of her care (before we were to get a private care company in) she fell, whilst the carer was there....breaking her second hip.....the carer could not be less interested if she tried.......we trusted this care company as we as a family all work and live in different counties to my stepmum....if we lived closer there is no way they would have gotten away with their disgusting lack of care towards a lady who had been confined to the home and could only walk with the aid of a zimmer frame......totally disgusted with this company.
Excellent staff, look after my stepson at School Aycliffe. They have been 100% which has made a big difference for us all. He has learned more life skills and they empower him to do more things for himself.
Yet another care company that takes you on when they are thinking about no longer working in your area. Five months in and a thank you and goodbye letter. One exceptional carer and an indifferent office that only cares about the bottom line. Their clients are actual people who take time to form bonds with the carers who often are doing very personal care. These care companies need to imagine themselves in their client's shoes for just one day and how they would like it if they were dismissed in such an offhand way. We need our care companies to remember why they were set up in the first place. To give our older members of society their dignity back. The constant handing back of packages through no fault of the client is not giving them the dignity and respect they deserve.
Honestly just wow. The care my dad has received from day one has been amazing the care staff and office staff have gone above and beyond to care for my dad, they are all so friendly. The office staff are always on hand to speak to. Working in care myself I know the struggle to find a good care company and this is definitely one of the best, keep up the hard work, you are all amazing and thank you for the care you deliver every day.
The girls do a fantastic job and as I have said for many years, carers should be paid a thousand pounds every week for the great work they do. Unfortunately with Embracing Care, the girls are let down by the management and the way the business is run.
