View Full Details of Home Instead (Liverpool South)Home Instead have been supporting my Mum and Dad for a number of years now and they have been excellent. My parents are very independent and were reluctant to have help at all but struggling to keep up with household tasks. The service was initially just cleaning and keeping an eye on them as I live some distance away. My mother had a prolonged stay in hospital in 2022. Home Instead provided daily care on her discharge which prevented any relapse and gave me reassurance. This was done at short notice. Support was stepped down as she improved and recently she has had cognitive decline which has meant she needs daily reminders about medication and this has been arranged within days. Communication is excellent. My parents are shown respect by managers and support workers and we get a rota telling us who will be visiting and any changes. It has given me peace of mind and enabled my parents to remain as independent as possible because they have a reliable compassionate safety net.
Although Home Instead address all the needs in their scope, this is reflected in the cost. It just depends on whether you feel your needs are worth the cost.
I find that all the girls are kind and pleasant, clean and well turned out and do what they can to help me get ready for my day. I have usually had my breakfast and am ready for a shower which they help me with, dressing and feet attended to. They will prepare lunch if needed and go shopping and are willing to do anything I need without making me feel rushed. Sometimes they are the only person I will speak to until the evening. They will ring the doctor if needed.
Pleased with the service.
I have been having help for over a month now and I find it so helpful, I have come to really feel very cared for and find everything that is done for me is so good. I do feel so much better than I used to. The ladies are so caring and thoughtful, I can get some stuff done which I can no longer do.
Excellent service. Very professional and caring staff. The office has also been very responsive and flexible as our needs have developed. My dad has a wide range of needs and nothing has been too much trouble.
Home Instead have been very good in providing personalised care and support to my mum since Febuary 2020. This has taken various different forms of care from companionship, helping with her meals and medication, assisting with her having a bath, taking her to afternoons at the local cafe, accompanying her on a walk near her house etc. The staff are all very different with their own strengths and weaknesses and own special skills and seem to be very caring towards my mum. I have also found the communication always very good between Home Instead and myself with a view to organising and managing my mum's care.
I am so pleased I chose Home Instead for Mum. I know I can relax knowing that she is being cared for properly when I am not there. I love that everyone is so lovely and really do care about Mum, communication with the team is great I am always made aware of any concerns or if anything is needed. It's a load off my mind that I don't need to worry about her.
I’m not one to normally write these things, but I feel compelled to write this as I feel Home Instead deserves recognition for everything they do, I feel like I have my friend back. My friend's quality of life has improved since the care professionals started coming up with greater confidence and less anxiety, therefore I can't recommend home instead highly enough. It's like receiving a visit from extended, unrelated family, she explains. In our conversation today, she mentioned that Home Instead goes above and beyond in terms of the care they offer, from the office staff to the healthcare professionals. Additionally, even on short notice, they strive to modify the care they give.
I can highly recommend Home Instead. The Caregivers to my elderly mum were kind, compassionate and caring and most importantly provided the care and support my mum needed in the final years of her life. I want to thank everyone who played a part in helping her in her last stages of life. The staff in the office were always so very helpful and professional in providing the level of support mum needed. They were very flexible and the Caregivers went above and beyond everything I expected of them. I have recommended Home Instead to friends and family if and when they have a family member who needs extra help, support and companionship in their home.
My husband was in the hospital for two weeks in August, then was discharged home for 6 weeks rehabilitation by a care agency, arranged through Social Services. The standard of personal care given by their caregivers was good but they did not encourage my husband to move independently. After 8 weeks in bed, his muscles were very weak. Home Instead caregivers then returned - they have cared for my husband for 7 years. Within two weeks of their return, his muscle strength was improving because they gave him confidence and had the patience to allow him to do what he could still do although he is blind and has complex health needs. These needs are always managed to a high standard by the team of carers who come in pairs four times every day. The administrative and management teams have the same standards. We both appreciate this very much. Through their dedication, I am supported so that husband can be cared for in his own home and to date has not needed to become a resident in a care home.
We have employed Home Instead Senior Care (Liverpool South) for a couple of years to provide home care for our grandmother who is living with Vascular Dementia. We have a small team of carers to provide a professional and consistent care package for our grandmother, and who she has got to know and trust over this time period. Both the team of carers and the team in the office "behind the scenes" are fabulous! The carers provide a professional service ensuring all the tasks on the care plan are completed to the highest standard, but not only that they do so with care and compassion. Nothing seems to be too much trouble, whether that's sitting and chatting, helping with personal care or spending time looking at old photo's or doing puzzles. The team in the office are equally brilliant as they organise last minute support when a washing machine engineer needs to visit with less than 24 hours notice or arranging to take our grandmother to the dentist for a check-up. And all this is done with a smile!
The staff in the office and the carers who support my mum are professional and always keen to help my mum and give us advice when will ask for it. My mum was totally against having carers in her home and we hadn't had good experiences with 2 other agencies we had used, then a friend recommended Home Instead. The difference was amazing, my mum soon accepted her carers and my mum now tells us, her friend is visiting if we phone when a carer is with her. At the beginning of lockdown, we found it difficult to get antibacterial wipes etc, one of my mum's carers brought her some. Before lockdown Home Instead had arranged and were taking my mum to social afternoons which she really enjoyed. I highly recommend Home Instead to anyone needing support in their home.
My very elderly father is still able to live in his own home, as he wishes, with the help of the Home Helps who visit him 6 days a week. They keep his house clean and tidy but most of all they provide friendship and companionship as Dad is not very mobile and does not leave the house. He calls the carers ‘my friends’ and is always pleased to see them. They make his lunch and check that he is OK and provided for and have contacted the doctor when he was feeling unwell. I live some distance away and knowing that he receives such care makes me feel more confident in his well-being. The office staff too have also been very helpful and friendly and they keep me well informed. Thanks to you all!
If Home Instead (Wavetree S Liverpool) featured on Trip Advisor it would, without doubt, feature as the top care provider in Liverpool. Mum formally used Home Instead back in September, prior to being admitted to Hospital. On discharge last week Mum was offered a free 5-week care package from another care provider. After 2 days it was clear that the care offered was wholly inadequate. We recontacted Home Instead and the assistant care manager has coordinated, within a couple of days, a full care package and Mum is now back receiving the care she deserves. What greater testimony is there than people proffering to pay rather than get care for free. The staff and care provided are outstanding with carers arriving on time, every time. This company provides a unique tailored service which is flexible and accommodating. I'm not looking forward to old age but when the time comes Home Instead will, without doubt, be my service provider. Great Service!!!
I've no complaints, caregivers come regularly and on time. I get a rota telling me who is going to come. I get on really well with the caregiver team, even though I am a Liverpudlian and a couple of the carers are Evertonians! We have a good chat.
