View Full Details of For You HealthcareMy wife has suffered from dementia since 2017. For You Healthcare provide a carer for five hours one day a week. The carer attends to my wifes personal hygene, prepares a midday meal and snacks and gives companionship and stimulation during the day. The carer is willing, helpful and understanding and I can take a break secure in the knowledge that my wife is in good hands.
Mum, who is 94, has a carer visit each afternoon and they really brighten her day. They are reliable, helpful, chatty and friendly. She's hard of hearing and they take the time to have a proper conversation with her and to listen to her. They brighten up her day and give me peace of mind. Thank you.
I have a carer come each morning to help me dress due to my Arthritis. They are very patient and friendly. They help me with making my bed and will wash up if I ask them to. The only down thing is the time they come is irregular anywhere between 8.45 to 9.40 for a 30-minute call. It would be nice if I had a list of who's coming each week as I never know who's coming especially if I get a new one, but they do introduce themselves. They have been very helpful since the sudden loss of my husband 18 months ago.
My disabled husband and I needed help for a short period while I recovered from surgery. For You Healthcare provided excellent carers to assist with the things we struggled with. It was only an hour a day for three/four weeks, but the help was always cheerfully given and unstinting. Thank you.
On the 23rd of May, we were faced with another heartbreaking situation. My mum-in-law had another fall and with us leaving 3 hours away, we are unable to get her quickly. A phone call to the manager and she found someone within 10 minutes to go see mum. As I was driving to mum's house, I was reassured by the manager that 'we got this; she is conscious and talking and we have rang the ambulance. Concentrate on your driving and she will be fine.' Those words calmed me down and made me focus on getting there safely. On arrival, I saw mum lying on the floor, confused and so frail. I am a nurse myself but all the knowledge and skills I have were gone at that moment. All I wanted was to pick her up from the floor and give her a hug. But the carer put me right and she was calm and very reassuring. She handled the situation better than I did and I am eternally grateful to her and the rest of the For You Healthcare team for saving our mum's life. Thank you!
From the first telephone call to For You Healthcare to the last call, the staff were helpful, kind and courteous. The manager was such a great help, helping to try and sort out GPs, pharmacy deliveries and dealing with social services at times and called Mum regularly to check up on her and how she was doing. The carers were all really good with Mum and she enjoyed their visits each day. They all treated her with dignity and respected her wishes with regard to the level of care she wanted on any given day. They all really cared about Mum's health and well-being and were quick to raise concerns when her health deteriorated. Thank you to you all.
Very happy with the help provided. Daily visits gave me peace of mind. The carers were reliable and understanding. The manager was a great help, suggesting solutions to issues and recommending products/services that are available. Cannot thank them enough.
The team was sympathetic and understanding. Patient's moods varied and the team reacted positively and sensitively to variations. Care is provided for an hour a day. The team sometimes encouraged conversation and at other times provided sympathetic and silent company.
We have two family members with complex caring needs. On occasion, we have found it difficult to know where to turn when circumstances have changed for the worse, sometimes very quickly. However, the manager has been instrumental in getting the correct NHS medical services involved. Caring full-time for family can be very hard, both mentally and physically. If not for the amazing carers we would have found it almost impossible to continue. The manager has also been amazing in checking how we, ourselves, are coping as carers and providing ad hoc care so that we can have respite breaks. For You Healthcare has been an absolute lifesaver for us.
My partner was very poorly in the later stages of his condition. The carers that came to our home treated him with the utmost respect and consideration. Their care was more than just 'hands-on' they brought in smiles and genuine kindness that we both appreciated. It is never easy to open your home to strangers but the carers who came into ours, very quickly, made us feel at ease and comfortable with this. Sadly my partner passed away but I will always remember the carers with real affection and gratitude for their help through this very difficult time.
Can’t rate the service highly enough. A complex family situation in many ways and no family living nearby. The Manager and her team were fantastic they were helpful and accommodating from the first phone call. The Manager went above and beyond to help us out when we needed it most, nothing was too much trouble and she worked with us and services to make sure my parents could stay at home and be safe. She was understanding and knowledgeable helping us navigate the complex care system. My dad said the carers were friendly and nice ladies. He was pleased with what they did and appreciated that it gave mum a helping hand.
As a bilateral below knee amputee, my aim was to get back my independence and be as self sufficient as possible. My carers started before I had my prosthetics and have seen me through using them. They have helped to re-able me so that, with a little assistance from my wife, I can now care for myself. The carers have given me the support and confidence to achieve this. Thank you.
We used For You Healthcare to provide a live-in carer when my 95-year-old father was discharged from the hospital. From the first engagement with the manager, our experience was positive. Dad was being discharged with a recommendation for 4 visits from a carer per day. At our first meeting, the manager took time to understand Dad's condition and suggested a better and safer option could be a live-in carer which she confirmed after visiting Dad in the hospital. When the requirements changed very quickly and we needed more help, the manager was able to seamlessly adapt and we had additional helpers as needed. Unfortunately, Dad passed away only a couple of weeks into his care but For You Healthcare ensured his last few days passed in safety, comfort and with someone always by his side. Thank you to the manager and the team, I will be forever grateful.
Generally happy with service. Management responds promptly to any issues.
I am very happy with the care I receive. My only complaint is that the morning call is too early. I understand how difficult it is but I am 93 and eight am is the earliest for me. Occasionally I get a midday visit at 12.30 and then a night visit at 8 pm. I know it's difficult but as you asked it is my only complaint. Thank you for everything. The carers are all lovely.
Mum has dementia. Dad, who is in his nineties, wanted to keep mum at home for as long as possible. The care provided has allowed this to happen. Staff have been kind and supportive to both of them. They are always cheerful and happy to help with the problems presented to them on the day.
Excellent service! My mum has two visits a day and initially was a bit wary of having strangers coming into the house, however, within a couple of weeks they had become friendly faces who she looked forward to seeing each day. She particularly liked having someone with a smile on their face coming to the house first thing in the morning, having lost her husband only eighteen months previously. She had an assessment from the manager before her care started which was thorough and formed her care plan. If there ever is a hiccup - which will occasionally happen as we are all human, I am notified immediately and it is quickly sorted. One of the best things, from my point of view, is that the manager regularly works with the service users, providing care. She reacts very quickly to any changes in circumstances and is very flexible. The carers who visit have now become friends with my mum, and I can relax, knowing that she will have had her medication and eaten a meal.
Initially, since I was confined to a hospital bed for 23 hours each day, care was provided twice daily tailored to my needs, including provision of meals. The caring team gave me invaluable support, treated me with dignity and kindness, and were always helpful and understanding. I am happy to say that they have continued in this manner in the months which have followed. They have supported me both physically and emotionally and very often helped me through bleak times. Overall, the team is well managed and informed. My gradual improvement in health has in part been thanks to their encouragement and care.
Everyone who came to see my mother each day for about seven months was kind to her and me. They all dealt with Mum with humour and sensitivity and also kept my spirits up. We were always glad to see them, and the lady in charge always had helpful things to say.
After having a bad experience with another care provider we were very cautious looking for a new company to help us looking after mum. Following careful consideration, we contacted For You Healthcare to see if they could accommodate us. They started within a week and soon we realised it was the best choice we could have made. The manager was very helpful and her team proved to be second to none. Every team member was passionate, cheerful, respectful of mum's needs, polite, hard-working and a pleasure to deal with. I would not hesitate to recommend this company wholeheartedly to anyone. Top-class care provider.
