Woodland Court, Hawkins Road, Cambridge, CB4 2RD
View Full Details of Atlas Supported LivingI enjoy the activities that are planned every year. I get on well with all the staff members. I get on well with the other service users. I have achieved independence since living at Woodlands Court.
Very supportive, excellent care provided for our son. Not only is our son supported but we are also supported as parents. Excellent care in all matters. Staff and management are always there for us, as parents, and also keep us informed about our son's care.
My daughter has been living here for 10 plus years. She has been supported through some difficult periods by caring staff. They have organised some lovely trips for the residents which my daughter has enjoyed.
My son, an autistic adult who can be rewarding, funny and enthusiastic as well as having some challenging behaviours, is very well settled at his accommodation; this is wholly due to the support he receives from the staff at Atlas Supported Living. They are patient and responsive to him and think carefully about activities that he will enjoy and be able to manage. They regularly review strategies for supporting him and communicate well with me. He is not naturally sociable but they support him to use public transport (which he loves), and run some group activities and trips which keep him socialised. They enable him to live a happy life in a comfortable flat, with appropriate levels of intervention and independence.
Our daughter is very well supported by the staff at Atlas. They are always very welcoming and always have a smile on their face. Recently they have started organising day trips out including theatre, music, exhibition, theme parks and zoo trips. The residents can sign up to the ones they wish to attend. Our daughter signs up to a lot and really enjoys them. There isn’t a large turnaround of staff and agency staff aren’t the norm which is great as consistency is important. The staff also organise events such as a coronation tea and parties in the garden. They also go on walks together on Sundays and often have meals together. It is a shame there isn’t a common lounge/dining area they can meet as they have to eat in the hall or staff room. The manager is excellent and really strives for the best for her staff and residents.
I am very happy with the care provided by Atlas Supported Living. The staff are polite, professional and approachable. My daughter is settled, happy and confident in her flat and has a positive relationship with the staff who support her. The manager is always looking at ways to provide residents with a varied and active social life - parties and outings are common and obviously enjoyed by all.
Staff are very good and professional. They can provide excellent service and professional support with good communication. The living environment is clean and comfortable in a woodland house. The management is excellent.
