View Full Details of Home Instead (Renfrewshire & Barrhead)Every member of staff has been courteous, helpful, and willing to undertake any task. They have all quickly learned where things are kept and remembered this on subsequent visits. They all show interest in the client as a person, expressing concern if something is not as it should be, or offering encouragement and praise when they notice improvement. They make you feel cared for and their cheerful attitude is a great morale booster.
Our family feel reassured that our father is in good hands with the team of Carers who he knows well. Home Instead Team always keeping us in the loop if there are any issues or concerns and equally the good things and conversations happening during their visits.
Home Instead have supported Mum for over a year and a half now, and have been a great help. She was initially reluctant, but the care pros are so friendly and helpful that she has come to trust and rely on them. For someone with a touch of dementia, it would be nice if she saw a smaller range of staff, but the more days we ask Home Instead to add on, of course, the larger the group of staff that they have to allocate to her. It is good that the team caring for each individual do communicate amongst themselves about the client's needs. The office staff are very supportive, always available and patient. We have especially appreciated the flexibility of being able to add extra visits / cancel visits at short notice as Mum's needs and circumstances change, sometimes with very little notice. I like having access to the app to be able to read each care professional's notes on each visit, as Mum is not always able to communicate as much detail to me over the phone. Couldn't do without them now!
The carers are all very good. My parents have no issues with the work being done and are always on time with a friendly face and time for a chat. We have used the service for over 16 months now and we are very happy.
Home Instead are a caring and professional care service to my wife who has dementia. The carers are friendly, efficient and prompt, 7 days a week. Their office and management are in regular contact and are easy to deal with. I recommend Home Instead.
All the ladies who come are charming and excellent in caring for my wife. They seem to make my wife feel at ease and fully understand her memory problems, and help with her mobility issues. They are also punctual in arriving.
Home Instead are a good company. The staff that I have met are nice and friendly and are happy to help you with anything you ask them to do. It is like having a friend in the house. The carers arrive when they say they’re going to. Half an hour.
I really appreciate the continuity of the regular staff that provides care for my dad. All the staff that have provided support to my dad have put my mind at ease. I know my dad is safe and being supported well with respect and dignity.
Very pleased and reassured to meet Mum's carer during our visit. Happy she is in such good hands.
We have had a small dedicated team to support dad (94) at home for several years. He was reticent about having any care outside the family but soon got to know and rely on the team. The small team suited his needs really well allowing him to build confidence and bond with them. Primarily there to give dad breakfast and lunch and a bit of company, everyone was friendly, flexible, approachable and looked after dads needs very well. We were contacted if they felt there was a change in dads health or wellbeing and they responded to any wee notes regarding dad that we might leave them. They called if any of the carers were delayed for any length of time which enabled us to let dad know, which we appreciated. Having a mix of men and lady carers was a bonus as dad could chat "cowboy films" with the men. The management team also worked very well with us to provide additional care at times when it was required and we were never let down. Would definitely recommend Home Instead. Thank you all.
My wife has advancing Parkinson's disease. She is now unable to walk or stand without help. My wife is now 88 years old. My wife now has two carers for a hour in the morning and also at bedtime. Home Instead are very flexible and they have superb, well-trained ladies. We are delighted to have them coming to our home helping with food primarily. They also have a great cleaning service. Frankly we could not do without them.
My team at Home Instead deserve a well-earned 5-star plus in my opinion. The most regular ones have become like family, and the whole team always go above and beyond the call of duty, willing to lend a hand whatever dilemma we may face. Continuity of care is paramount to me in my position, and having the same six team members who I trust implicitly and have complete confidence in makes a world of difference to my life. God bless you all. Sent with so much thanks and appreciation.
Really happy with the service. Always prompt and caring and hope the continuity continues. This gives me and the the family confidence that someone will be looking after my mother in our absence, looking after her requirements when preparing for the day ahead and of course checking her current health situation.
Very satisfied with the ongoing care my sister is receiving from Home Instead. We have no queries or problems with the ongoing care provided. Our carer is willing and helpful on each visit and will complete any task put forward. My sister now feels very comfortable with the care plan, and this has given her confidence to continue living at home.
Care staff are very good with handling my father, reliable, consistent, and caring. Dad is also very compliant and comfortable with them, which was reassuring for us. Would thoroughly recommend yourselves to anyone.
My wife has dementia, and all the carers have been excellent in helping in so many ways. I just don’t know how I could cope without their companionship and assistance in looking after my wife. They give assistance to my wife when showering and dressing. Making copious cups of coffee and making meals when required.
Excellent carers. Continuity of care is important to me as my mum has dementia. She values having a strong network of regular carers who know and understand her needs. Great communication. Regular calls and contacts to keep me informed.
Home Instead (Renfrewshire and Barrhead) provide a wonderful service. The carers come in twice a day to visit my aunt. In the morning, they make sure that she is up and dressed and has her breakfast and medication. They give her the help she needs but allow her to do as much as she can for herself. This is much appreciated. In the evening, they make sure that her hot water bottles are in and that she again has her medication. They spend an hour with her each time and are happy to sit and chat if that is what she wants. They also come in for an hour two afternoons a week for companionship. They take her for a wee walk or do exercises with her, again if that is what she wishes. They also cover any additional afternoons if family are not able to visit. The service is caring without being too intrusive.
Excellent support service for my wife, helping her with her medical condition. Continuity of staff has been an important factor as it builds trust and knowledge. The staff are always helpful and caring.
We have been engaging with Home Instead Renfrewshire since December 2022. They provide a tuck-in service to support Mum in the evening. This has been invaluable and reassuring for all. The office management has worked to ensure continuity of care is in place, which as a family, we feel is extremely important for the well-being of our mum. This continuity has allowed Mum to feel safe and has facilitated building meaningful relationships with the carers for Mum and Dad. The carers are clearly well-trained and enjoy their role. They are kind, attentive and very supportive and ensure personal care is at Mum’s pace, which has worked so well. Our experience with Home Instead has been excellent and has allowed Mum to be happy and well in her own home. Our grateful thanks to everyone at Home Instead.
