View Full Details of GoodOaks Homecare - AylesburyAll the staff at GoodOaks have been exceptional in both the care they provide and the positive attitude they bring to the day. We cannot thank them enough for everything they do. Always punctual, well prepared & calm when handling complex care needs.
If anyone is looking for care or help for the elderly I would strongly suggest using this company, I had this company help look after my Dad at home for over 3 years and I can honestly say they were amazing. This company employs people who actually care for the clients they help to look after, they take time to get to know the person and the best way to help them. Sadly my Dad passed away in November and I can't rate them highly enough, efficient office staff professional documentation on each visit through a very easy app you can have on your phone, and regular reviews to make sure all needs are covered. When my Dad first needed additional help we were given a company recommended by the council which were awful I moved to Good Oaks and I never looked back. I knew my Dad was safe well looked after and had careers who got to know him, he looked forward to each and every visit. Every person who came to my house was amazing, too many to name. Thank you to all the staff.
I have found the care I receive all I could hope for. Carers have been supportive and friendly. Everything that was done was explained and I was treated with respect and sensitivity. I was able to build a real relationship with my carers so that I looked forward to our morning chats. All were happy to encourage me and involve me in my own care as much as possible. Moreover, if a problem with my health or personal care arose at an unscheduled time the office staff were very willing to come to my rescue, an excellent service.
I've been a client of Good Oaks Care since November 2023, I find myself feeling very lucky to have such a dedicated, supportive and caring team of caregivers. The office staff work together with the carers to ensure that we're been given the best care possible. Last year when I had spent the summer in hospital having operations then fighting every day to get well and finding life and mental health not great I had to make big decisions and the main one was changing my care company and that was the best thing ever. Even though I was very poorly again in January which totally set me back I had no doubt that when I got home with the help of the girls, I would be cared for in a way that I would look forward and not back. So thank you all so very much you know who you all are.
Could not wish for kinder people to assist me. Nothing is too much trouble.
In early 2024 my elderly mum suddenly became less mobile, during a hospital admission it became clear that she would require care when returning home and was assessed for this. The local authority selected GoodOaks from their approved list for an initial period, I know I speak for Mum when I say we could not have been more happy with that, and after the initial period she did not hesitate to say she wanted to continue with them which she has. I have been point of contact for Mum, when you do something unfamiliar for the first time it can be scary, but the management team at Aylesbury were really supportive, making sure I understood every step. However what is most important is how my Mum feels about her care, and I have asked her this. She is incredibly happy with the kindness and respect shown and has built a great rapport with each carer, as importantly they know her and treat her as a person not a "job" to get done. I know Mum would wholeheartedly recommend GoodOaks as would I.
Carers are excellent, polite, pleasant and helpful. They show respect to a man of my age (eighty-three) who lives by himself. That respect is reciprocated by telling each other's life stories, face to face rather than over the telephone, to friends and family. A good, flexible and responsive service.
As a family we have nothing but praise for the excellent care my Mother in law received from the GoodOaks Homecare team in Aylesbury. She had refused to accept carers in the past and we thought this would be the case again. However, the staff quickly built up a positive rapport with her and used initiative in encouraging her to accept care. They were kind, caring and understanding of her failing memory & she became very fond of her regular carers. The Manager was always at the end of the phone offering support and advice to us whenever needed. She was also always quick to respond if we had a query etc. All in all I don’t think we would have got through the past few months without this amazing team and we can’t thank them enough.
Prior to commencing care, Mum was visited by the manager so that her needs could be assessed and a comprehensive, meaningful care plan put in place. I can use the app to see what the carers have done each day whilst being reassured that Mum is safe and well. She is visited by a small team of carers so that she sees the same few faces regularly and Mum tells me that they are all kind and helpful. The office staff are easy to contact, friendly and address any concerns promptly and efficiently. GoodOaks Homecare, Aylesbury is well managed and I would highly recommend to anyone seeking care for their loved one.
Carers are excellent, polite, pleasant and helpful. Management has improved of late but still has a little way to go.
At a very difficult time, Good Oaks have provided significant help and care for my mother. In particular by explaining in detail the process ahead. Throughout a busy Christmas period, myself and my siblings have been comforted knowing Mum is being looked after when we're not around. Another comfort to us all is that Mum is happy with her carers and tells us all how helpful they are. This is very reassuring.
We have been using Good Oaks now for over 18 months and all carers are of a very high standard. We had a new carer today on her first visit, unsupervised and her attention to detail was exceptional and will be a credit to Good Oaks.
A good flexible and responsive service. Staff are well trained polite and when needed offer helpful practical advice. I would recommend them to anyone seeking help with daily tasks that are difficult to do unaided.
Would like to congratulate the manager and all her wonderful staff for having such an amazing company and her work ethos is second to none. They were actually recommended to me by one of their competitors that I was using and I'm so happy that I made the change. My mother isn't one of the easiest people to get on and that's saying it nicely but their care staff all take it in their stride and nothing is a problem. I would like to thank you all for making my life a bit less stressful knowing that she is been looked after so professionally. I would highly recommend Good Oaks.
All the carers we have had have been efficient and very friendly. They nearly always ask if there is anything else they can do for us. They usually arrive at about the same time each morning, unless of course the traffic is heavy or they have had a flat tyre!
This agency comes highly recommended - the team at Good Oaks Aylesbury has responded to all our queries immediately and provided a safe and caring home care to my father. The care team have been wonderful and we have got to know them; they really care and want to do whatever they can to assist - I would especially like to mention the certain staff who have a very caring attitude and have been wonderful. All the carers we have had have been lovely and also attentive. The manager leads a great team and the carers are always polite and eager to help with anything they can. We will continue to use Good Oaks and would recommend them to anyone needing care at home.
Overall good service. My concern is when we have three hours of respite on Tuesday and Thursday. The carers arrive late and ask to leave early for personal reasons. We don't always go out, we sit in our garden. This is our time to chill but when carers are booked 12 to 3 and arrive 12.15 pm and leave at 2.30-2.40 pm that's not fair on us. They are paid for three hours but only doing two and a half. As I say our time is 12-3, and sometimes we plan things to do but if the carer has to leave, we have to cut short what we are doing. This is not all carers, but just a few!
