View Full Details of GoodOaks Homecare - East Dorset and SalisburySatisfied with care package. Disappointed that we have not always received a rote each week informing us who is coming and time.
Generally a very good company but this week the timings in the evening have gone all over the place, I couldn't plan for Mum's evenings because I wasn't made aware of issues. Unfortunately, I tried to make mum's meds more simple getting the NHS to blister the pills so the packs were dated week to week, day to day, easy you would have thought but ended up all over the place as far as distribution was concerned. Not good!
Due to the deterioration in our postal service, we would appreciate receiving our weekly carer rota by email. Sometimes the week is almost finished by the time we get the rota. Otherwise, the service is very good with no complaints.
My elderly mother, who lives with us has needed extra care since January this year. We are so pleased we found your company. Professional from the first phone call. These delightful carers are reliable, reassuring, knowledgeable and above all truly caring. We can't thank or praise them enough. Friendly welcome visitors to our home. Can thoroughly recommend Good Oaks.
The staff who support my parents are all kind and caring and without their support my parents would not be able to continue to live at home. Scheduling timings can be a problem, when morning visits do not occur until lunchtime, or evening visits are late but most are at reasonable times. All carers provide a basic level of care. Some are more thorough than others in carrying out their duties. The majority will ensure that bathrooms, etc are given a thorough clean and look for tasks which need attention of their own volition. Others are not so thorough but in some cases it is more a matter of not seeing what needs to be done or failing to take the initiative. I appreciate that there may be difficulties as my parents can be resistant to care or no longer recognise what needs to be done and will encourage the carers to do as little as possible. The recent commencement of a weekly deep clean should now address any shortcomings identified and overall we are very satisfied with the service.
I have dementia and arthritis and was having problems last year, particularly with my back and knee. I needed support for a little while mainly for day-to-day activities ie: cleaning, preparing food etc. I had a recommendation from a friend about Good Oaks so I contacted them and I am so glad I did - the staff I dealt with were lovely and very helpful and within a short time I had the support I needed which was a tremendous help! I have now recommended them to other residents where I live.
My parents have come to regard the team as firm friends. Nothing is too much trouble. They look forward to the daily visits. All of the staff are super kind, friendly and professional. Keep up the good work.
All the staff were excellent and kind. Will always ask if anything needs to be done.
Very satisfied.
We are very happy with the service provided.
On the whole satisfactory but some helpers are a bit slapdash.
I am very satisfied with the service I receive from your staff. I look forward to their visits, they come with a smile.
I have found my carers very friendly and caring and they help to make the day start well. I have one neighbour who moans about door banging at 7-7.30 am (she usually moans about everything).
All my carers have done everything I asked them to do and even went beyond the call of duty when my husband passed away. They are so good to me.
Simply faultless. I've received nothing but five-star service from all carers and office staff. Care staff visits three times a day and their standards never drop below outstanding. Each career is super professional, attentive, knowledgeable and reassuring at all times. Nothing is ever too much trouble and they all make me feel important and valued. I'm a complex case but they all listen to my very precise care needs and adapt the visit accordingly. Thank you all.
All the carers my mother has met have been fantastic. The communication from the office is very good. Altogether, a very friendly and reliable service is always received.
Good Oaks East Dorset look after my mum. She was very reluctant to have the help in the first instance but with lots of patience and perseverance mum is enjoying the carers' visits. They give me great peace of mind that my mum is being looked after so well.
This has been such a difficult year for everyone but the friendly faces of the Good Oaks team has helped enormously to combat the isolation we are feeling. They have all worked hard. How did we manage without them!
Carer always on time, if unable for some reason then I am notified. The carer comes with cheerful attitude. Conversation.
The service is good, good clean and fast workers. The downside is the lack of continuity of personnel. My wife's mental health is such that constant change is very difficult to cope with. This makes explaining our requirements all the time very time-consuming and mentally draining.
