View Full Details of Helping Hands Home Care (Harlow)My sisters and I are extremely happy with the service provided by the carers and more importantly so is our Mother. They are always on time and get on with the duties that are asked of them. They are very polite, friendly, professional, carry out an excellent job and also use their initiative if they see something needs addressing. We all feel very confident and reassured that our mother is getting the help she needs to allow her to stay in her own home and know that if needed in the future we can increase the carers input knowing they'll provide a sensitive, caring and professional service.
The carers from Helping Hands Home Care (Harlow) were reactive and sensitive in dealing with my Mother whose dementia has been deepening. Everyone was always kind and arrived on time which helped my sister and I make plans for activities with Mum. Requests for changes in care plan were quickly and easily initiated. As the dementia progresses we have had to constantly move with it so changes were regular. Overall a really good provider.
Helping Hands Harlow are invaluable to me in caring for my elderly parents. I am kept informed by the team which go out of their way to be helpful and build positive relationships with myself and my parents. My parents have daily visits and importantly, they really like and appreciate the help they receive. I feel so supported by the Helping Hands team as I live such a long distance away from my parents. Thank you!
Really grateful for all the input from the agency just before my brother went into a care home. They were amazing and went over and beyond what help and support was needed at the time. Thank you so much. Can't recommend Helping Hands Home Care highly enough.
I can not praise Helping Hands highly enough for the care and support my mum has received over the last year. They have made it possible for her to stay in her own home for longer. They have always treated Mum as an individual and shown interest in the stories of her younger life. The daily reports were very helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Helping Hands to anyone in need of some support in their home.
With the assistance of Helping Hands carers, my parents have been able to continue living in their own home as independently as possible. The carers work to a comprehensive care plan, guiding and supporting whenever they can, but stepping in and taking charge when needed. I have met a number of the team and they have all been: friendly, polite, caring and professional. The Branch Care Manager and office staff are readily available to discuss any issues, whether raised by the family, or noted by the carers. If carers have noted a welfare concern, the office will make contact promptly to agree next steps, involving external agencies if necessary. The care package has been invaluable to my parents for personal care, meals and other domestic tasks. It is also very reassuring for the family to know that there will be a daily welfare check, especially on days when we cannot visit ourselves. Thank you Helping Hands!
I would like to say how fantastic all the carers from Helping Hands have been. They are kind, caring and reliable. The carers who have helped look after my Mum and Dad have been absolutely lovely and the help and support they have provided has been invaluable and is very much appreciated. I wish that other families in need of care could have access to the same standard of high-quality care that Helping Hands provides. I would definitely recommend them to others.
I've been looked after by quite a few care agencies, but Helping Hands is the best by a long way. Carers turn up on time every day. The organisation is run very smoothly and professionally. Care plans are in place and kept to. One of the two things I like the most is that they seem to have bulletproof reliability. The other thing I love about Helping Hands is the quality of their carers. They are friendly, kind and helpful and are able to help me with personal care leaving my dignity intact. Helping Hands are the best of the best!
Sadly Mum only used Helping Hands services for a short time as she decided to move to a care home but during the few weeks she found the carers to be very kind, punctual and flexible in their approach. They would cook her the food she wanted and carry out tasks in the kitchen. They also watered her hanging baskets. One day Mum decided she didn't want any tasks undertaken so the carer sat and chatted to her. I would recommend Helping Hands.
Since the managers have changed on a frequent basis, Helping Hands Harlow has gone from bad to worst. They now have a manager that doesn't seem to give a dam about customers' welfare. Excellent choice if you just want to unload your loved ones, but keep clear if you care about them, until there's new management in charge.
The carers treat my father with dignity. I have peace of mind knowing someone is going in each day. It works best for us when the same carer attends, rather than a selection of people, which Helping Hands Home Care do try to do.
Losing some of your independence is tough as you get older but Helping hands have helped Mum remain in her own home. Everyone we have met has been kind and caring and go out of their way to engage with Mum. I would definitely recommend.
For the last 6 months, we have had the services of help with housework for one hour a week. This has made a tremendous difference to me, particularly, because as an old woman of 81 with chronic osteoporosis I had found housework an enormous challenge and very difficult. The Helping Hands 'cleaners' have been marvellous and ever ready to do whatever I asked. It's made it possible to spend more time with my frail and ailing husband of 89. I have really appreciated the help and my husband has too.We had 5 different cleaners in a short space of time in the beginning which I found some getting used to, but recently we have had the services of one member of staff which has been excellent.
Helpful, friendly carers. Efficient office staff. I would recommend helping hands, the prices are a little high compared with some other providers.
All the carers who look after my Aunt are very kind and helpful. They all go out of their way to make sure she is happy and comfortable. The team are also very flexible as they take her to her group once a month. Her elder sister is in a residential care home and they have not seen each other for over a year but the team were good enough to take my Aunt to see her last month.
We have employed Helping Hands to help with 'pop in' care for my mother, who is quite frail and elderly and has early-stage dementia. She is independent but needs help - and wants to stay in her own home. The team at Helping Hands have been great. They are well organised and professional, always available for a chat, and flexible when it comes to the complicated lives of their clients. The carers are all kind and efficient - my mum has said they are all friendly and on time. After a few short weeks, the team have shown themselves to be understanding and adaptable, and they have a clear billing system too.
I can honestly say as a daughter, the care my mum receives from all the lovely day care ladies who sit with her for 2 hours a day is truly second to none. The time each individual takes to get to know Mum is heart warming. Nothing is too much trouble and I have met quite a few of them and they are always so upbeat and cheerful. They can gauge when Mum wants to be involved in a conversation or indeed if she needs quiet time. Mum always feels incredibly safe and assured with all of them. For me when dealing with Helping Hands Home Cate - Harlow direct in terms of maybe changing times, invoices etc their response is always incredibly efficient and courteous.
