View Full Details of Amy Cares LtdMy stepdad died unexpectedly last year and I needed an agency who would visit my mum each morning to get her up and ready for the day ahead as she has Parkinson's disease. I thank my lucky stars, every day, that I chose Walfinch Birmingham South whom we have been using since before Christmas. The Manager came to visit mum to assess her needs and it was such a thorough assessment and I felt she went away with such a good knowledge of my mum's needs and her interests. Mum has such a fantastic rapport with her carer. She is always on time and treats mum with utter kindness, compassion, and dignity, and often pre-empts mum's needs (for example she made mum a hot water bottle one day when it was chilly). The communication from the agency is absolutely excellent, they keep me informed with everything and they will call if they are worried about mum and that means everything to me. I cannot recommend the team more highly.
From the very beginning the care, attention and standards have been outstanding. Management, my mother's carers, and all other staff I have spoken with have delivered a good service. My mother is cared for very well, they follow all care plans and requirements to meet my mother's needs. The carers are always on time, friendly, and very knowledgeable. The company have gone above and beyond on many occasions to ensure my mother has been looked after including arranging waking nights when my father was taken suddenly into hospital. I could not fault their service and highly recommend them. You are always able to rest assured that high-quality care is being delivered.
It has been a few months now since Amy Cares Ltd has provided care for my 93-year-old mother. So far I am very impressed as indeed is my mother who very much looks forward to and enjoys her daily visits. Sourcing good carers is somewhat of a minefield, but from the very start, I was impressed with Amy Cares Ltd and in particular the Agency Manager. The whole approach by Amy Cares has been professional and above all their emphasis on the care. Since initial contact with the manager, the standard has not wavered. I am kept informed of any concerns they may have concerning my mother's welfare. Communication is excellent. Always a prompt response be it to email, text, or phone call, which is very reassuring. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Amy Cares, I feel confident and reassured that my mother is in good hands.
We needed care put in place for our father quickly. From the moment the manager came to meet with him, we noticed her genuine concern regarding how he and our family were coping. She asked detailed questions about him, his interests, his needs, and she listened, listened and listened some more. She provided practical suggestions and having learnt more about my dad, suggested he'd be more comfortable with a male carer something we hadn’t considered. She talked us through step by step what his care needs were and guided us through the next step. I cannot praise her fast communication enough. When we have had to change dads medication regimen, she will respond quickly and relay this to his carer. Changes to times slots have also been accommodated quickly. I’m so impressed with how the team work around my dad’s needs and not the other way around. His carer is bright, punctual, sincere and follows instructions to the letter. I would highly recommend the manager and her caring team.
