View Full Details of Warren Homecare SuffolkThis company should not be operating in my opinion. The management were rude when I rang to complain. Bad care includes leaving a wet bed, simple breakfast of toast not edible. Washing the client from the feet up using the same flannel! Medication not administered correctly. Medication gone missing. Rough handling of the client when washing. The key to the house missing from keysafe. The outside porch door was left wide open all night after the last call. The commode left dirty. Two or three of the many of carers very nice but overall definitely not carers for a client on palliative care.
Following a leg injury Warren Care support me daily, enabling me to have a shower daily. It is important that I maintain my independence, each carer delivers my care promoting my independence, dignity and respectful at all times. Nothing is too much trouble, before my call ends I am always asked if there is anything else they can help me with, on one occasion I was feeling unwell and needed an over the counter medication, which the carer got for me and brought it back to me ensuring I had what I needed, going above and beyond. I have never had an occasion when my care has had to be cancelled by them. I have not had any issues, but if I did I feel confident that I could discuss this with the management, and it would be addressed, the management team work shifts too so a good relationship is formed. I have worked within the care sector, so I suppose I have high standards, Warren Care has exceeded my expectations and are enabling me to carry on living independently, a fantastic care team!
Even one star is too much praise for this company's performance and the lack of care provided. Carers turn up anytime, not when requested. Most cannot speak English, most just stand in the corner of the room smiling saying nothing The hygiene of some individuals is poor wearing old plastic gloves which are filthy and dirty from previous visits, with penned comments on the back of them. Most only stay for 5 minutes then go, at best 10-15 minutes is the maximum stay nowhere close to the 30 minutes we pay for. Tried to get my Mother to take her time-critical medicine over two hours earlier than should of, only an hour or so since she took the lunchtime prescription, thank god she had the sense to say no. For example, we phoned to see if they had actually turned up one day and the woman shouted to another man have you been to to see.... He answered yes saw her today and gave her a shower. What the hell ...we do receive or ever asked for this service from them, sums it up, they don't care.
Very poor hygiene, unable to understand some basic requests. Refuse to wear an apron whilst preparing food even though just coming from a very ill patient a couple of doors from me. Whilst their personality is fine their basic training in food preparation seems non-existent.
