View Full Details of Prudent Domiciliary CareStarted awful and went downhill from there. First call on first day they were over an hour and a half late causing wife to miss hospital appointment that they were fully aware of. Second visit first day damaged a wall cabinet by hitting it with hospital bed. Tea call fitted sling wrong for transfer to chair, couldn't empty a catheter bag and didn't put hoist on charge. Bed call only one member of staff attended the second didn't even turn up but still logged onto their app and stated he'd completed all tasks. Thats fraud. Company gave him a warning. Day 2 of contract damaged arm rest of powerchair by leaving sling under it while trying to transfer. Tea call only one staff member again! I ended up assisting. This turns out to not be the last time. Company use a system called nurse buddy and constantly amend call times to make it appear the carers arrive on time when in fact they are over 2 hours late. In 3 weeks we've had 4 calls that went okay out of 84. A nightmare throughout.
My dad was diagnosed as at end of life in mid December 2024 and sadly he passed away in the first week of January. In that time, we had to get to grips with all of the CHC options available and we got connected to Prudent, and the incredible manager. She provided us with invaluable advice and support, arranging home care within the first couple of days and then when Dad was hospitalized she liaised with the hospital to fast track 24 hour in home care were dad to need it. As it transpired, that was not the route we opted for but at no stage did the manager try persuading us or any form of selling, she was the epitome of care and support, generous with her time and advice and we will always be grateful to her and Prudent for our brief but intense interactions. If you are in an area supported by Prudent, then I would highly recommend you seek their services and support.
My dad is very well cared for by PBG. The lovely men and women that come in everyday always put a smile on my dad's face, he is always laughing when the carers are in. They always make sure to check in on my mum as well and make sure she is ok. Any concerns that I have are always dealt with straight away by the office team who are always on hand, Dad loves it when the office staff are out to see him.
Thank you for looking after me. Lovely carers. I am now back on my feet with the help of this company. I have recommended them to everyone at church. Always on time and someone at the end of the phone if there are any problems, which is very rare. I needed the manager and she called me right back. The office staff are ok and doing their best to accommodate my times.
