View Full Details of Silver Assist HomecareI have found SilverAssist to be very good indeed. My mother, who suffers with dementia, has been well looked after with compassion and consideration. The staff are friendly and helpful and very well led by the manager who is happy to take the initiative with recommendations as to likely future needs.
Silver Assist have been visiting my elderly mother who has dementia since December 2024 to provide companionship, shopping and assistance with meal preparation. The manager visited my mother to talk to her about her interests and what she liked to do and matched her with 2 carers. So far it seems to be a perfect match - it's good that mum knows 2 carers that can cover for each other for illness and holidays. As a family, we are very pleased with the service provided by Silver Assist. The app is great. Silver Assist also provided exemplary care for my elderly father for several months in 2023 - this was a very different type of care as my father had limited mobility and many health issues as well as dementia - Silver Assist carers helped him with getting up and dressed, washing and showering as well as an evening bedtime visit.

Whilst we have only been using Silver Assist for a couple of months, to care at weekends for my mum (100 ) and my Dad ( 96) we have been exceptionally impressed by their professionalism. We already had a weekly carer for mum and dad but I was anxious to ensure cover for the weekends. The advice we received from the manager and her team was excellant and I was impressed by the smoothness of the administration and the friendly support we received when setting things up including visits which involved mum and dad to assess their needs and preferences. The carer is experienced and has settled down quickly and mum and dad have really taken to him and seem at ease. The response times to queries has been first rate, on what we have experienced so far I would recommend them as first rate care providers who go the extra mile to support their clients and their families.
Mum has Alzheimers and We were recommended to try Silver Assist by the warden at the flats Mum lives in. I contacted the manager, who along with her team has been brilliant. Initially we just had 2 afternoons a week companionship, this soon had to rise to 7 mornings a week but it is never too much trouble to change things around. The ladies who form Mums care team are wonderful and Mum has become very fond of them, visits are still mainly companionship but with SilverAssist having responsibility for some of Mums medication daily and prompting her to take the rest. There has even been a couple of occasions when Mum has had a particularly bad day (I am 300 miles away) and an off the cuff visit to support has been arranged The difference the manager and her team have made to Mum (and my peace of mind) is enormous and I cant thank them enough.
We are very happy with Silver Assist care. The communication is very good. Carers are efficient, friendly and caring. They are chatty and well liked by my father. They show a real interest in his well being and his life and family. The management is approachable and effective.
All the caters that attend to my mother-in-law do so with the utmost care and attention. They treat her with respect and carry out their duties efficiently and thoroughly. They are friendly and professional at all times and complete the care plans clearly.
Outstanding care that is holistic and extremely well organised. I feel that the staff make the time to get to know not just the client but the family as well. We have a really supportive team around us who give my grandmother the best care. They support us in making sure she is comfortable and safe in her own home, and most importantly allowing her to maintain her independence.

We are all new to receiving support from a homecare provider and I was initially unsure of how to source the right level of support and how it would help. However, the initial set-up was very simple and Mum has a lovely support worker who helps in the kitchen and takes her out, as well as providing companionship.

Assessing my mother/father's needs was conducted via an initial visit. Followed by a subsequent meet-the-carer session, which then led to a very comfortable transition to regular carer visits. I was extremely pleased with the service I received from Silver Assist Homecare when I had a new hip. I had a live-in assistant for a week who dressed and helped me with all my needs. She cooked delicious meals for the two of us and lived as part of my family becoming good friends.

To begin with, I was a bit embarrassed because I had not had care before. I soon got used to my carer who put me at ease. It is lovely to feel clean and refreshed. I feel supported and reassured so now I am able to stand holding onto the handrails in my bathroom. I could not use my bathroom before because I could not stand even to use the toilet.
From the first introduction meeting, Silver Assist listened to everything that we had to share about Dad. Once the care plan was in place, the first month there was a lot of communication, and this communication has continued to a high level since the start date. All staff and management are very conscientious and both parties we feel very well for the needs of Dad as a priority.

The personnel go over and above to ensure the best possible outcomes for their clients. This includes those they care for and the support given to family members. Communication between the company and the client is exceptional. Even with a couple of months, it felt like an extended family where my father was listened to and valued.
I have found all the carers at Silver Assist to be professional, caring, and friendly. I would say they go beyond what is expected of them and provide a very personal service. They have been visiting my Mother for quite a few months now and the more they get to know her they provide those little touches with things they know she likes. She enjoys their company and likes all of them. The manager and all of the staff are very accommodating.
Despite only being involved with Silver Assist for just over a month, all those associated with the company whom we have met, have made us feel very welcome into a new family. As we try to settle into a new lifestyle and routine, the care company manager could not have done more to ease this process, taking over items of admin, advising and ordering items to make life more comfortable and convenient for my husband and also guiding me to access organisations that may offer various forms of help. Every carer who has visited us has been very polite, showing a genuine respectful interest in caring. They chat with a sense of humour and my husband reacts positively with a smile.
Silver Assist is a very good company. My carer is a very good companion and we have loads of fun. I always look forward to seeing her, she brightens up my day. We always have a good laugh and I like the things we do like going out for walks amongst other things.
Silver Assist has enabled my aunt to return to her own home after a fall which broke her hip. The team of carers that look after her provide daily assistance and companionship. They are professional, punctual and caring. The same team visit my aunt 3 times a day so the continuity is excellent. My aunt feels looked after but still has her independence and this has allowed her to stay in her own home. The help with medical appointments is really useful as I live so far away. Every visit is logged on the app and communication with me is excellent. I highly recommend Silver Assist.
