View Full Details of AMG Nursing & Care Services - NottinghamAMG was put in place after the County Council cancelled Mum's existing contract (cost cuts). I have had to ring to chase breakfast and medication calls to be told Mum is not a priority as she is on an interim service. It was explained at handover that my mum is diabetic and has dementia. They promised to get their poor and dangerous service sorted out, that lasted one day. I had to ring them again yesterday as Mum again was left without breakfast or medication. The carers are trying their best but they say, as do HQ staff, that 'they'll add it to the notes, we hadn't been told, it takes hours for information to update!'. I even had to complain they had left my mum's door unlocked, the carer said 'she asked us to' in my response (again) she has dementia she said 'we'll add it to the notes'. I am suspicious of bad reviews in amongst good ones but I couldn't be more disgusted with AGM's treatment of elderly vulnerable people, perhaps they'd like to put my disgust ' in their notes'.
Carers, cared for mum for six weeks after she left hospital. Having carers for Mum was a really big thing for our family. We had never had to do this before, mum had always been very independent and yes she did need help with a few things but nothing like this, it was all new to us. Although we had our doubts and didn't know what to expect, these were all washed away the first time we met you both, you put our minds at ease we felt very comfortable and we knew straightaway that Mum would be in good hands. You don't very often meet people and feel at ease with them from word go. Mum had been through a horrendous time and the family had been through three heartbreaking months so to be able to feel like this and know that Mum was going to be looked after really well was an enormous thing for us. Thank you for everything you have done. Thank you for making us feel comfortable and especially thank you for caring so well for our mum.
I am very late in submitting this, but my review has not diminished in any way. AMG took over from NHS carers, (who were actually very good with my mum) when was discharged from hospital into their care. As Mum was extremely poorly, she was fast-tracked and AMG took over. Initially, I was apprehensive, but I needn't have been. The company are completely professionally run, and the carers we were allocated were outstanding. I only had issues with two at the beginning, but that was quickly addressed and we never had any other problems. Mum was treated with dignity and respect at all times. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. Thank you.
I should have sent a review a long time ago as since my husband and I welcomed AMG into our home a long time ago now we have had nothing but exceptional care, support, empathy, understanding all carried out in a friendly, polite and professional manner. Yesterday my husband returned from hospital and was in a bad way after being neglected whilst in hospital. Although AMG have delivered world-class care on every occasion from our regular team, we both want to thank all of his team for everything and in particular four members of staff who have looked after him so beautifully since he came home yesterday. Thanks also to another particular member of staff who we look forward to seeing soon. We applaud all of the regular team who care for my husband. We are so grateful and thankful that we have such a great team who put him first and also make sure I am ok. AMG bosses, I do hope the ladies are recognised because they are world class! Working very long hours delivering the best care always! Thank you so much.
Until the new year period, last 48 hours care in majority has been great. The last 48 hours hours however has been disgraceful, no appropriate food placed in front of patient although already prepared by family. Lies on notes on app provided by company. Serious concerns over this company in last 48 hours.
My father was fast-tracked for end-of-life care at the beginning of November, and the care he received from AMG was excellent. Without exception, the carers were helpful, knowledgeable and caring. They were a great support for me. I no longer felt alone. I was so grateful for their friendly advice and emotional support. I don't believe we could have had better.
Absolutely fantastic care of my stepfather during his final weeks, could not fault any of the carers during this time especially 3 in particular who were very patient understanding and respectful, thank you.
I have been under palliative care since February of this year. Staff vary from day to day but I have liked everyone I have met. All have been immensely supportive and obviously caring. They always arrive on time to see how I am doing. I receive care with personal hygiene and comfort, delivered with cheerful and professional care and attention. I always look forward to their visits, they have had a positive effect on my morale which I feel has been important in seeing me through this difficult time. I have surprised my nurses and consultants by improving over time. I know that acute myeloid leukaemia is not curable but I have been given a new lease of life for the present. The burden on my wife has been reduced and she feels a similar thanks for all that has been done for me.
The carers that looked after my father over the past 3 months have been excellent, they were always on time and turned up with a positive caring attitude, always left my father clean fresh and comfortable and with a smile on his face. Couldn't ask for anything more. Thank you guys.
We had excellent care from this company. I would like to say a big thank you to anyone that helps with my mum, AMG are lucky to have such dedicated staff.
AMG provided outstanding care to our loved one. Carers, office staff were always helpful, thoughtful, trusting and accommodating. AMG are the only care company I want in the future.
I spoke to a manager, about my mum and she was totally rude and had a bad attitude. Then she told me that I should be grateful that they took my mum on because if they hadn't mum would still be in the hospital. The carers were going at dinner and tea time just spending 10 min with her, they are always in a rush to get to the next person. When I asked the manager if she thought this was enough she said yes. They are putting mum in bed at 6.40 pm and not turning up till 9 am the next day, my mum crying out for help at 6 in the morning because she wants to go to the toilet for a poo, and then she's getting upset because she can't get to the toilet. She has got a catheter on which I was told all carers knew what to do with them, to find out that they putting the catheter too high, and they were left a note by a nurse that it should below mum's bladder.
I would like to thank every one of the care team at AMG for their total devotion to my partner who was on fast track. The way they conducted themselves and their pure devotion to him and his needs was wonderful. I wish there was some way I could repay you even though he was in so much pain he looked forward to your visits and he was at ease with you all. Thank you again for all you did.
I would like to say a big thank you to the two people who mainly looked after my mum from 25th July till the 18th August 2021. They were amazing as my mum had her last few weeks in comfort and those two made my mum as comfortable as they could. Well done and a big thank you, couldn't have done it without them. Would highly recommend this West Bridgford care provider again. Thank you.
My wife was released from a month's stay in hospital to a care package run by AMG Nursing & Care Services - Nottingham. It was a big life-changing experience for us. Without exception, the members of the team of carers allocated to us were excellent in every way and saw us successfully adjust to our new situation. They were always cheerful, professional, caring and efficient. We were sorry when the month's package ended. We are grateful for their efforts and wish them well for the future. Thanks.
I cannot imagine how we would have got through such a terribly hard time without the support, care and wisdom of my mum's carer. She immediately made my mum feel at ease and treated her with the utmost care and respect. At a time when I didn't know where to turn next, she advised and pointed me in the right direction which enabled me to cope far greater and be prepared with what was to come. Although it was for no more than two weeks, the carer and subsequently pair of carers, became such a source of support, not only in the physical sense but mentally too. For both of us, seeing the deterioration in my mum's condition was so upsetting, but they had a way of easing us through it, and being so sunny and delightful, which detracted from the grim reality. The management team were always helpful and willing to pass messages on to their staff. I can't thank the people in question enough. It gives the whole family comfort to know that mum was surrounded by such angels.
This company have just looked after my father in the latter stages of his life. They were absolutely fabulous. Caring and professional. They made such a difference. A special shout out to 2 members of staff in particular who were amazing. Thank you guys. It meant so much. Continue doing a great job.
I had 2 nurses 4 times a day for my terminally ill mother. All I can say is amazing! They were all kind, considerate and professional to my mother, myself, and my family. They helped me so much, going above and beyond to get the best care for my mother. I cannot praise them enough. I wouldn’t have coped without them. I would like to thank each nurse that visited and tendered to my mother. Just amazing. Thank you all.
AMG carers helped look after my mum in her final days, the care and respect they showed both Mum and us was amazing. The four carers involved were the most lovely, caring, respectable people and for that, I will be eternally grateful.
These carers were sent to help me care for my elderly mother who was seeing her final days, the professionalism and compassion was first class, nothing was too much trouble for the carers and they advised me as the help, my mother, I can’t praise these carers enough, would recommend them every time
