View Full Details of Draycott Nursing & CareThe Manager was fantastic. My wife, herself a doctor, and I were so impressed with the support and care that she gave me over the six-week period. I can't thank her enough. She was cool, calm, kind, caring, and considerate.
In mid-March 2024 I broke both wrists, leaving myself completely incapacitated. All carers from Draycott were of a high standard, my carer who was with me for much of ten weeks was truly exceptional. It is no exaggeration to describe her as angelic. She catered to my needs with great tact and efficiency, doing everything from helping me dress and carry out the most basic functions, to accompanying me to hospital when I had operations. She was an excellent cook as well as being delightful company and it was very reassuring that she was in the house overnight to deal with any emergency. Subsequently, she helped with my physiotherapy regime. She was resourceful at suggesting ways of minimising any pain I experienced and dealing with a crisis caused by the side effects of prescribed medication. I genuinely do not know how I would have coped without her. She contributed immeasurably to my recovery and I count myself fortunate to have had her assistance during this challenging time.
My carer was everything I could have hoped for compassionate and alert when I woke in the night and with a happy and agreeable personality. I was sad when we parted but I know she will go on to give other recovering patients. The benefits of her years of experience and the joy she takes in her work.
The carers provided by Draycott Nursing are to be highly commended for their professionalism and dedication to the highest levels of service. Their work has truly improved the well-being and happiness of my mother.
My husband's carer was wonderful at gaining my husband's trust and bringing him out of himself. Instead of an unhappy and anxious person phoning me each evening and not understanding what was happening, when we spoke each day he was happy and at ease. She dealt well with the situation when our cooker broke and even managed to make friends with our very scared cat. What more could you ask for?
We were grateful that Draycott Nursing were able to provide, at very short notice, short-term night and morning care for my husband, following surgery. All staff were kind, helpful and professional and we would use Draycott again if we needed to.
I needed care and support after being discharged from the hospital following a major operation. The nurse/carer fetched me from the hospital when I was abruptly discharged before the Easter holidays and stayed overnight for 3 weeks. She was very professional as well as being a reassuring carer and friend.
Having used Draycott previously I felt confident after my recent surgery that I could rely on them to help me out. I was not disappointed and I had a lovely carer who comes the hours I need to help in the house with all sorts of domestic issues. She is quietly very efficient and sees what needs to be done and offers help. Thank you Draycott, I can unreservedly recommend your services.
I needed full time care for four months following a serious fall. The live-in carer provided was superb. Very willing to help in all necessary ways, including sometimes providing delicious meals. He was at all times sensitive to our needs and we much enjoyed his company. I have regular visits from a young physiotherapist, who has number of equally elderly clients receiving similar care. Following the live-in carer's departure, she volunteered the unprompted comment that he was ‘by far the best she had encountered to date.’ A well deserved tribute to a dedicated and conscientious person.
We have had excellent service and support from Draycott Nursing and Care and built up a good relationship with one regular carer, who is conscientious, kind and very reliable. Both my father and I find her easy to talk to and feel we have found an excellent carer to meet his needs. When this carer has not been available, Draycott has been good at finding other suitable carers of an equally high standard.
The individual carers were excellent and we were able to arrange for my mother’s 3 favourite carers to be with her regularly, which gave her comfort and reassurance. The carers showed a huge amount of kindness and empathy following the death of my father and were able to help the family support my mother through this very difficult period.
We were extremely pleased by the service the carers gave us. They were very helpful and very nice. Could not fault them. They were always on time and always asked if they could do anything else to help. They were very cheerful and pleasant. Would thoroughly recommend them.
