My wife, who has Alzheimer's and is permanently bed-bound, receives first-class care by staff at all times and I have no complaints at all. She is treated with dignity and respect, always. I am very happy with the service.
Only looked after Mum for about five weeks. Staff vary, the main carer is good. Not enough feedback. Changing bed twice a week is extreme when clean, but Mum is settled which is good.
I am very content with the care I have received from Age Uk, concern they feel like friends. I cannot fault anyone if the carers I have had. Thank them all since my husband passed away, I simply don't know how I would cope without my daily, smiley carers.
I am probably not a stereotypical Age UK service user/client having had a stroke in my early fifties but they have been helping me with my personal care for three years since then and I have been utterly impressed with by their professionalism, reliability, punctuality, care and good humour. My carers always come prepared with news and stories that are topical and we enjoy many light-hearted conversations. They are diligent and treat me with dignity and respect. They have never let me down.
