View Full Details of Abacus HomecareMost of the carers are extremely nice and mostly do whatever I ask them to do and they are very nice with me.
My problem with the company is that I have a different carer at night instead of the same one. I have a shower at night and would like one carer to help me instead of multiple carers each week. This would make my life more comfortable for me. A different one every night means I have to explain the procedure night after night.
I am really satisfied with the service given. No problems to report.
My mother is never ever going to accept carers, but the carers within this company are working wonders with my mum. The standard of care my mother is receiving is excellent and she has never been looked after so well, or as well as she will let you. There are going to be trying times ahead but I have faith that we will make it together.
You provide a very high standard of care. My carers are always punctual. They are quick to notice if I'm not very well and are very supportive. There is good conversation with all of them (and a lot of banter!). They always treat me with dignity and respect. They don't always show their ID badge and it would be a good idea to show their first name. They find time to chat with my husband, which is very good given my home circumstances.
My mum has Alzheimer's and Abacus have been assisting her over the last 18 months with hygiene and dressing. We have found all the girls who have called in very professional and helpful. They supported us when mum had Covid19, nothing was too much trouble during this difficult time.
Found it very helpful and good liaison with all the carers make it a relaxed experience for my wife who has dementia. No issues at all.
I'm happy with the two carers I have, they are willing to do any jobs for me. They are friendly and I enjoy them coming in.
Very pleased with the care I have received since having carers.
All the 4-5 carers we have encountered have proved excellent in every way. They have been punctual and efficient in everything they have undertaken. They established a positive, empathetic relationship with my wife and she has enjoyed their company.
Abacus provided home care for my father who suffered from Motor Neurone Disease. I can honestly say the care given was outstanding, he couldn’t have been in safer hands. My Dad thought of them more as friends than carers, they used to lift his spirits with each visit. I couldn’t recommend Abacus highly enough!
The care provided to my mum has been consistent, reliable and stimulating. The staff always communicate in an appropriate manner and complete the details of the visits clearly so that the clients family can maintain a clear overview of the care and anything that may have changed. There have been a couple of occasions when the doctor has needed to be contacted for prescriptions to be issued and this was done immediately by the appropriate staff. At times visits have been increased to cover extra requirements, this was helpful to Mum but also the family giving peace of mind to all. The regular care has enabled mum to remain in her home and maintain the independence and comfort that she is familiar with, she enjoys the interaction with the staff and has built good relationships with them. I would happily recommend the company and the service provided.
As a nephew of my uncle, I have had contact with Abacus Homecare for the past 9 years until my uncle passed away last September. They took care of him in a very pleasant manner. Doing their job and also having eye for client/service user in a very professional and comforting manner. Reliable staff members and good management who were always prepared to make an extra effort. I have also experienced that Abacus Homecare was a cooperative organisation which was always prepared to have dialogue with other institutions and take own initiatives in the best interest of the client/service user, in my case this was for my uncle. I would highly recommend Abacus Homecare based on my 9-year relationship with them.
