View Full Details of Agincare Live-in CareWe have had a live-in carer from Agincare looking after our mother since November 2024 and have a main carer who stays with mum for 6-8 weeks at a time before having a break. The company has, from the start, been professional, supportive and always keeping us informed. In this instance, however, my sisters and I would really like to praise the care mum is getting from her live-in carer. She is everything we wanted for our mother to feel happy, comfortable and safe. Her meals are fantastic, and Mum has a renewed passion for her food. She has long and interesting conversations with Mum, which is such a wonderful social experience. However, it is her kindness and willingness to really care for Mum when she is unwell. Mum had a mini stroke this weekend, and mum's carer sat with her for hours until mum went off to sleep comfortably and peacefully. Mum was so grateful as she was feeling very distressed during this time. Thank you so much.
Agincare arranged live-in care for my mother from the end of April to the end of August 2024. I was very impressed with the management, organisation, and level of support provided by Agincare, particularly the local manager. The carers provided fit our requirements, and they were well-trained and diligent in their care.
We have been using Agincare since Jan 2023 and couldn't ask for a better care company. From the management to the carers, they are diligent, caring, supportive, and always available for the family. Mum was admitted to hospital for a week in July and 2 carers visited her every day spending over 4 hours with her each time.
Every aspect of care provided in the home by the Agincare carers who care for my sister is tremendous; I cannot speak highly enough of them and the quality of care they provide. This has been consistently so over time and has been commented upon a number of times (again over time) by medical professionals during home visits. I trust the carers implicitly as does my sister and I am always impressed by both their attention to detail and their professionalism. Their communication with me is appropriate and always show sensitivity to my sister's needs.
I live with my aunt, who has severe dementia. What's important for her is the character and experience of the actual carer, not the agency that employs them. We were very lucky in this respect, as the hospital had selected Agincare and they happened to send an excellent and very experienced professional lady. I myself have had very little direct contact with Agincare, as this carer and her colleague, who covers for her during her holiday breaks (also employed by Agincare), have made a very good job of looking after my aunt for the last year. However I do have to say that as employers, Agincare appears to be amazingly incompetent, and the support they have provided for our carers at times when they needed it has been pitifully inadequate. So if you choose Agincare, or have them assigned to you, my advice would be to find out as much as you can about the actual carer they are proposing to send to you. Look carefully at their experience, and interview them first if you can, because you'll get no help from Agincare - and more importantly, neither will they.
My mother has dementia and has been cared for by the care workers since September 2017. The care worker is very kind and gentle and is very respectful too. She always maintains my mother's dignity. She is extremely caring and very well organised. Very clean and tidy I cannot praise her highly enough.
On the whole, it has been very good. My carer is a complete joy some of the other girls have been too quiet. Only speak when spoken to. Need company and chat overall experience been ok. Care has been good.
I have found Aginecare Live-in Care Services to be a well-established care agency very organised taking great care to match the right carer to the client. Good communication and support for client and family.
Agincare Live In Care enables me to lead a meaningful and interesting life, in addition to looking after my daily needs. The Management treat the clients as individuals and do so with kindness and consideration. The carers are very kind and helpful, and they enable me to live my life as fully as possible. They also make my life more interesting and help me to learn new things. They get on well with my family which is very much appreciated. I have an excellent long-term permanent carer, and very nice carers to cover her time off. The care manager telephones me weekly and makes regular home visits. I feel she knows me well and has my best interests at heart. my coordinator is organised and looks after both myself and my carers. I have received care from Agincare for 6 years and they make a huge difference in my life. I am very grateful to them and thankful that they are my care providers.
We as a family were very dubious about having a care worker in the house but we couldn't have been more wrong. My Uncle is thriving more than I have seen in a long time. He is eating better and is happier and has even been into the garden which is something he loved doing but stopped when we lost my Aunt and his health declined. It really makes me smile to know that there are caring people out there and Agincare has certainly found them.
When I first started thinking about finding care for my grandmother, I didn't know where to look and was initially worried about speaking with a stranger over the phone about something so personal to me. I typed in live-in care on google and called the first number to appear and I am relieved it was Agincare I called. In the first few minutes, I knew I had made the right choice for my grandmother. The advisor was friendly and approached the situation in a caring and sensitive manner. We arranged to have an appointment with an assessor and spoke at length over a cup of tea and when we were ready to move forward they let us choose our own care worker. The care worker we chose was excellent and upon arrival hit it off with my grandmother, we have had care now for several months and I feel safe in the knowledge she is being looked after by someone I can trust.
I would like to thank Agincare for the sensitivity that they have shown to my father and to me, his daughter, in arranging full-time live-in care for my father. Both Dad and I were very impressed with the lady who came and visited my father in hospital to assess his needs. She demonstrated that she was not only assessing how he was physically and medically, but to genuinely get to know him in order to match him as closely as possible to a carer. Agincare were able to provide a carer so swiftly meaning my father was able to get out of hospital in less than a week. The carer, in the words of my father is "a gem". I know that being a carer is his job but he brings to it such gentleness, respect, encouragement and genuine "care" for my Dad at all times. I know that he is there for Dad and this means so much to both of us. One hears so much about the care of the elderly (mostly bad) but this is one person who is very positive about the care received to date.
