View Full Details of Alexandra's Community Care - PenrynPeace of mind someone coming in the house to help me shower and dress and get my breakfast, and someone here to get my lunch and dinner. Check me over if I need help to change pad etc. Help me to get undressed for bed. And check my pad and get me a drink.
They vary according to who it is. Some are better than others. Some are more company and like to talk which is what we wanted in our care package. We want their presence along with chattiness.
Very satisfactory in all respects other than sometimes having to wait up to 7 hours between visits. I need attention 4 times a day and waiting more than five hours can be difficult for me and stressful for my wife who is also disabled.
Alexandra's Community care has provided excellent care for my wife since she was diagnosed with dementia over a year ago. Care has been very well organised and efficient. Individual carers are well trained and motivated and have shown just the right caring attitude to my wife.
I have great care from Alexandra's and I am very happy with them, however, in the last few months times have changed and I have less hours at the moment. I do feel that they have not got enough staff as everyone seems to be later due to no travelling time. Overall the care I receive is second to none.
All the carers are friendly, carry out tasks with dignity. Nothing too much trouble.
After four weeks of your care, it's been a great help to know you have someone to care and help. My husband's memory dementia problem is very difficult, and myself invalid with poor health and a housebound position; thank you.
Carers are very good and understanding. Punctuality is sometimes poor.
Sometimes I have concerns regarding any new younger carers as they do not convey what my mother needs and do not offer her what is available. My mother can be a difficult lady and some carers object, understandably, to her mood swings. The regular carers are her favourites and she objects to change.
Some carers are excellent and look after all the needs of the client and more, unfortunately half need to be reminded of the expectations. Excellent organiser with plenty of feedback from the manager. Would recommend the company.
