View Full Details of Ashbourne Healthcare ServicesWe have 4 visits a day with 2 staff. Would not recommend this agency at all. The reasons as follows: Staff like to appear when they want (not contracted times). Strip washes are seldom undertaken (wet wipes are used all over instead of using a bowl/soap and flannel). Suggest locking all cabinets as some like to look into these. Not sure if any compulsory basic training is undertaken by management for staff (staff seem to train each other). Basic food hygiene was not observed (difficulty opening tins with a tin opener/using a basic microwave and following food manufacturer cooking instructions). Some staff very rude. Management very bad (rude at times). Property has been destroyed/smashed (white goods and window pane smashed). Medication is sometimes forgotten, once discarded with 3 weeks left to run. Doors have been left unlocked on many occasions (fridge defrosted many times). PPE and ID are seldom used worn/badges).
Staff are pleasant and willing. My speech is hard to understand but they took the time to figure out what I said. They always try to provide staff when they can. In the six months that I used them, I was never let down. Sometimes staff appear to be under pressure because they have so many clients which has its advantages and disadvantages. In general, I would recommend Ashbourne Healthcare.
We find the agency to be very pleasant and helpful when we request anything. The carers we have are very polite and pleasant and most importantly they do whatever we ask them to do. It's pleasant to have them in our home which makes it more pleasant to deal with the situation.
