View Full Details of Baillieston Community CareDespite the sometimes erratic change in personnel, the quality of service remains relatively high.
The care I get is very good.
We (my wife and I) are very happy with the service and care provided by Baillieston Community Care. The staff are kind and considerate of our needs and age and this helps us continue to live in our own home which is very important to us. We feel grateful and blessed to have Baillieston Community Care helping to look after us on a daily basis. Thank you to everyone involved.
My mum receives support from the Baillieston Care Homecare team. She is fiercely independent and always reluctant to accept any help or support from anyone. Her carer/s have spent a lot of time building up rapport and gradually getting her to accept a bit of help. She now looks forward to her visits and accepts the support, which is a great comfort to me and my family. The communication is excellent and the carer is so kind and person-centred.
Everything was going well up to mid-January after we had a change of carers nearly every day and no one contacted me to tell me what was happening. I was told that somebody would contact me and I never received notice of any change.
The service is mainly of a good standard. Some care assistants are excellent, others less so. It's not always easy to make contact with management. On the whole-good service.
I've been sent mostly young girls which makes the conversation difficult. Some of the support is good at doing wee jobs like changing my bed. At times sit on their phones.
I have been a client with Baillieston for a long time and for the past 6 months it has gone downhill. It’s sad but true, I feel management does not involve you in any decisions made. I do know sometimes it’s about privacy and confidentiality but I feel we should be told some of the things that are going on that concern us in our day to day living, like changes to rotas. Sometimes I don’t know who’s coming to my door and changes on the run at night. I wasn’t told by management that two of my carers were getting changed. That is a big thing on my part, the office can’t cope very well with call offs from staff and it’s myself as a client that suffers. My care staff are brilliant, they come in and do their job, even during covid they were amazing, it’s the office staff and management that are hard to cope with. I myself know how hard it is to work in an office as I have done office work for a long time but they were carers before they worked in the office. They need proper office staff.
