View Full Details of Nightingales CareMy Dad was treated with great care and dignity throughout his years with Nightingales Care, and with his declining ability over the last few months, treated with great respect. During our daily evening phone calls he constantly kept me updated with the friendly conversations and also the menu of meals eaten that day! And with my sometimes unannounced visits and stays, the carers were wonderful and included me in everything that was happening. Living so far away from him it was such a huge relief for me to know that there would always be someone that cared about/for him at the end of the phone if needed. I cannot thank the whole team enough for everything they did for Dad and also for keeping him informed of everything that was happening.
My late dad used Nightingale's for 7 years following a stroke that left him paralysed on his left side. His care needs increased as his general health worsened, including even further reduced mobility, toileting challenges, and catheterisation. The ladies at Nightingales never let him down. They cared for Dad in a kind and compassionate way and kept us informed at all times. When Dad was in and out of the hospital the care provision was adjusted seamlessly. When Dad passed away at home on 8th February, Nightingales took care of the certification of death. At Dad's funeral on 1st March, there was an impressive attendance of carers from Nightingales because my dad was something of a favourite client amongst the carers.
We have had care from Nightingales for my husband for nearly six years. The agency have been absolutely wonderful for all this time even when short of staff on occasions. When I am having a bad day looking after my husband, the girls support me as well, which is a great comfort.
On the whole, the majority of the care staff have been excellent. I am happy with the current care that is being provided for my sister. She enjoys her carer's visits. They do everything we need ie shopping, changing her bed linen and cleaning her feet.
I’m completely happy with the wonderful care given to my mother over the past 14 years after a very severe stroke. She has truly outstanding care. We all live many miles from Mother, so it has been a huge comfort to my siblings and I to know that we can rely on their care and that she will be understood and cared for to a very high standard by their hard-working team. We cannot recommend them enough.
Without exception, my wife has been looked after with care and affection for fourteen years and following two strokes during this period, (the first at the beginning of this time) is at least enjoying a measure of a decent life.
Very happy with our care, happy with all carers. No complaints at all.
Care for my husband seems to be more than a year. It was to give me a break when it was no longer safe to leave my husband alone for risk of falls. A very good team of carers dealt with his personal care. It was great for me at first to have time to myself to go shopping, coffee and walk with my brother along the prom. After a spell in hospital it was evident more visits every day were needed - three times daily with two carers.
On the whole good. One carer arrives late in the mornings each time and is not very "hands on". The evening carer sometimes comes a bit too early ie 7.15 pm.
The staff at Nightingales have been extremely supportive over the last six years with their help and care of my mother and also her full-time carer husband. They were very accommodating with the time they called to get Mum washed and dressed. They were also very flexible when Dad changed his mind with evening calls. I can't thank this care agency enough with putting my mind at ease that both parents were being looked after. Thank you.
I thought the care provided for my mother was excellent. My mother lived to 107 years and was bedridden. The carers were wonderful and gentle with her. I helped them with turning her and they became like friends for me. When my mother was awake and more alert, she would always thank them for coming. I would definitely recommend Nightingales. The whole experience was very special.
From the management team to all the carers, you have always been very caring, kind and very helpful not only to mum but to me as well, I couldn't have asked for more!
If ever a company deserved recognition then Nightingales are top of the leader board. In the final 6 months of my mother's life aged 97 years and 9 months. This company surpassed all that I expected of them. Their punctuality was impeccable with a genuine honest love of their work. My mother adored the staff that attended her, plus I dealt with the contractual and money issues of the agreement and had no bad issues with their office. I personally would thoroughly recommend Nightingales to anyone who wants to entrust their family to care.
Although mum did not have the services of Nightingale Care for very long, she looked forward to seeing the same carer for each visit. Her carer was very willing and in mum's words "I think I have a friend for life". Sadly she did not live long enough to get the full benefit of the visits which were planned for the future.
