View Full Details of Bluebird Care Epsom, Kingston & SuttonBluebird Care were amazing and all their staff were such lovely, kind people, during a really difficult time for my family. My father had late onset dementia and needed support with everything which they provided in such a respectful way. After a chest infection he then passed away very suddenly. The staff were so supportive, understanding and genuinely cared.
Bluebird care has some lovely carers. However please be aware that if the care user needs to go in to hospital Bluebird will charge you full price for every visit they would have done for a whole month (even though they are not actually doing any of these visits). I also found that the carers would not always stay for the full time of the visit, sometimes much less than the half an hour. Communication could also be better between the office, the carers and the user. I really rated many of the carers who looked after my Dad, but I would not recommend Bluebird Care Epsom for the reasons I have outlined.
A phone call where possible to tell of time changes would be helpful. I have appreciated meeting all the kind and helpful carers.
Bluebird come to me for 1 hour every two weeks to help change my bedding and carry out any other tasks that are needed that day. Service always excellent so far.
I was initially very nervous about handing over certain areas of my mum's care as she lives with me and up to then I was her main carer. However, as soon as I spoke and met with the Management Team at Bluebirds I could feel myself feeling confident that they knew exactly what our needs were. All Bluebird's staff are extremely respectful and caring towards my mum and engage with her which is wonderful as she has dementia and she responds well. If I ever need to speak to the Management Team I have always found them helpful and friendly. I look forward to seeing our wonderful carers each morning and they have definitely eased some of the pressure on me and I know my mum is happy too.
Overall the carers have been very helpful and always professional and kind. Recently the same carer has been scheduled daily, sometimes 6 to 7 days continuously, which is not very helpful to me. Alternating 2-3 carers will be helpful to me, as when one is away others will know my needs. I have been having Bluebird carers since January 2023 for 1 hour in the mornings and recently, since 02/11/2023 reduced to half an hour as I’m confident of doing more things myself. Thanks to the carers.
Very satisfied with the carers.
You were needed at very short notice and we very much appreciated the speed with which you put the care into place. All the carers were very helpful and also very interesting to talk to. You were only needed for two weeks so it was rather irksome having to have you for four! (Although we appreciate why your minimum contract is for four weeks). One serious discrepancy between the time we were given and the time the carer was given (3/4 hours).
My lady carer was excellent in every way. Could not have been better.
Staff are friendly and helpful, willing to do anything asked of them. They are caring and interested in one's problems. The office have been helpful when I have had problems with the times. However, it would be useful to have a rota with names for each week.
Thank you for your reply to my wishes. I find that I can "work" with most of the girls you send and I hope that they enjoy being in my house with me. Thank you. Having been a teacher, I understand most problems regarding staffing. Do drop in if you choose.
All the carers are kind and caring. However it is difficult for them as I often have someone who hasn't seen to me previously and it takes time for them to know my routine. Even though I may have received a schedule, the time and person who arrives is frequently different from the schedule. Only very occasionally am I notified of the change.
This is our first use of home care. My wife and I have been very pleased with the experience. We have a carer for one hour each morning to give my wife a wash and get her downstairs. The carers usually have a lively and friendly approach. I can hear them laughing and joking and comparing family news. Two disadvantages have emerged. 1. Uncertainty about when the carer will come is a disadvantage. I wake my wife at 08.30 am, get her hearing aids in, prepare her clothes, and leave her waiting. The waiting time can range from 30 minutes to over an hour. We had one bad experience when the carer arrived at 08.10 am; the shock of this disoriented my wife and distressed her. 2. The Bluebird management have promised to let us have the weekly schedule of carers and arrival times but this has not so far worked out well.
Bluebird Care Epsom & Kingston were very responsive when we needed a care package to enable a discharge from hospital. All of the staff have been helpful and provided the right type of care for my husband. They have all been sensitive to my needs.
Generally very good. We could not manage without Bluebird. I live far away from my Godmum and she has no relations, so her carers are very important. It must be very hard to be a full-time live-in carer!
Bluebird Care Agency employ some very kind, efficient and experienced care workers. They have been an immense help to my father and greatly supported his recovery. However, sadly the efficiency of the schedule is very poor. I have needed to phone in many times about this. The poor scheduling has given my father a lot of undue stress and upset. This needs serious and urgent assessment.
Well pleased with service and care.
Staff are really nice and respectful. Office staff don't seem to pass messages on or sort things out quick enough.
Carers are very kind and helpful - extremely pleasant - they do what they can to assist me and my needs.
Very satisfactory. Prompt to help.
