View Full Details of Crossroads Care GloucestershireMy Father has reeived care from 'Crossroads Care' for a couple of years. The carers have all been amazing in their support towards him. From the way they spoke, with kindness and compassion, to understanding his needs and providing him with company. The day club worked wonders for him. He always enjoyed it, and was more cheerful on his return. In the office, all staff have always been very supportive, compassionate and thoughtful. Crossroads Care undoubtedly deserve their 'Outstanding' rating by the Care Quality Commision. They really do care and wholeheartedly recommend them.
From the first contact with Crossroads Care Gloucestershire, they have provided excellent, efficient, friendly service. My mother has got another family now and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you so much.
My husband has dementia and came to Crossroads Care on the advice of a friend. My husband loved going to Crossroads Care. He quickly made friends with all the others, including both sexes. He was very happy there, laughed a lot and made others laugh. He made things and enjoyed all the activities. The staff were wonderful with him, always happy to see him and make him feel very welcome. He also enjoyed helping in the kitchen. Thank you for looking after him so well.
The service from Crossroads has been invaluable. It's turned what was fast becoming an unsustainable, impossible situation, into one where I had some time to decompress, make sense of things and be able to organise extra support. The ability to add in extra hours to enable me to attend, for example, hospital appointments for myself, has been especially useful. The carers are punctual, courteous and very supportive.
My wife was very unsure to go to the Azalia club. It was quite difficult to convince her to attend. After her second visit, she enjoys it so much she doesn't want to go home. Staff are all brilliant.
The day centre opened two months ago. It is outstanding in every respect. From the initial meeting with one staff member in particular to mum attending the day centre every Monday, everything has been superb. The group who attend are a mixed bunch. There are people with disabilities, some have mild to moderate dementia (still living independently) and some are just lonely. The Azalea club has a minibus so they pick mum up and take her home afterwards. She is provided with a host of tailor-made activities, which are varied and fun. There is a morning coffee and a home cooked lunch (excellent!). The staff are all very kind and interested in all who attend. There is a camaraderie which is lovely to see. Mum has thrived since attending, becoming much more engaged and sociable and looks forward to the club. I am a local Doctor and am well aware of what good care looks like and these guys have nailed it. I highly recommend the Azalea club.
The carer chosen for my wife (who has dementia) has been an absolute God send. She treats her more as a friend, than a carer and each week my wife really looks forward to her visit. They either walk or drive into the local town for coffee and cake, and potter around many of the charity shops in the high street. Without fail, my wife always returns to our home with a huge beaming smile on her face. It might only be 3 hours each week, but it's 3 hours that she absolutely loves, and allow myself a break to do a few chores I otherwise couldn't do.
Excellent care respite service, which allows me to 'escape' for 3 hours each week to do errands outside the home environment The carer provides consistent and reliable support and company for my husband while I'm out. She is always cheerful and ready to chat, and helps me by tackling my ironing!
It is a huge relief to me to have professional care workers assisting my Mother with various personal needs and freeing me from some of the tasks. The staff are all friendly, efficient and reliable.
Crossroads Care is an excellent company in every respect. They have been my saviour giving me time to be myself once a week. I know that my husband is in safe and caring hands I could not ask for better service.
I don't know how I could possibly manage without them. I know I can rely on them completely if I need help with anything at all. They are always cheerful and brighten my day. I feel very lucky to have them.
I find the staff very helpful and caring and a happy place. My husband looks forward to his visits.
My husband uses the day club and really enjoys it. They are kind, helpful and promote his mental health with activities and social interaction, which is important when you have dementia. Crating activities are also a bonus and they always include timely activities/crafts throughout the year.
My husband uses Crossroads Care's Azalea day care facility. The kindness and consideration that he receives is exemplary. He also uses the transport provided - again, the care he receives is second to none. As he has very limited mobility and is wheelchair-bound, the club is an important and valued event in his life.
I thoroughly enjoy each Thursday, when I attend Azalea at Daglingworth. The staff are all supportive of us clients, they also encourage us to join in and participate. I also spend much of the week on my own, so the variety of people I see weekly is additional company. We undertake a variety of activities each week as well as being provided with a cooked lunch. I use the transport provided, which recently has arrived on time. The chance to mix and spend the day with a variety of people from various backgrounds broadens the mind. The fact the staff all have a good sense of humour is beneficial to me.
Friendly and helpful staff. Entertainment, good food, crafts and games. The Azalea Club is a very happy and welcoming place.
Carer provided for my 92-year-old mother each Friday for three hours. Always prompt arrival. My mum looks forward to the companionship, talking together about common interests and feeling safe, relaxed and comfortable with the carer and falling asleep for a while. Good handover at the start and finish of the care period. Good communication from office space when required. The carer is a wonderful enhancement to my mum's life and to minors her full-time live-in carer 24/7.
Crossroads have been helping my father and I look after my mother who is bed-bound at home and in the final stage of Alzheimer's. Since October 2023 we have had the support of two carers for 24hrs per week (across 4 days). We met with 3 companies all who scored Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission before selecting Crossroads. From the first phone call and our first meeting with the manager, it was clear that they were truly outstanding in their field. Each member of staff that we have since met or spoken to have been highly skilled professionals who pride themselves in achieving and attaining best practice in their work. Care is sincerely at the heart of their business model which is reflected most highly in the two women who deliver hands-on care for Mum. They are both exceptional and have taught Dad and I so much as Mum's care needs change. With the support of Crossroads we will be able to keep mum at home knowing that together we are providing the very best end of life care.
