View Full Details of Home Instead Sutton ColdfieldHome Instead have cared for my Mum and Dad across a range of venues including their home, hospitals and care homes. They are incredibly professional and they work collaboratively with you to ensure that your relatives get what they need when they need it. They work as a team and ensure that vital information is shared to make sure that you and other members of the team can always act in the best interests of your relatives. They give us total reassurance that we are doing the best that we can for our relatives and peace of mind that our relatives are receiving the best experience possible. I would unequivocally recommend them. And one last thing, the care professionals are lovely people that you can trust and rely on.
I cannot speak highly enough of the carers from Home Instead. My relative has just returned home from a two week hospital stay whilst I was unfortunately out of the country. They have all been so kind and made sure one of them visited him and sorted out any problems that arose. This helped him enormously and reassured him that he had not been left alone. He has been a client for several years now and is so fond of his carers as nothing is too much trouble for them, and they are all extremely kind and thoughtful. My relative was reluctant to have care in the first instance but would not be without them now. We cannot thank them enough for all they do and we are very grateful.
Home Instead came highly recommended to us and I can see why! From our initial phone conversation with the team, our request was treated swiftly and efficiently and a care package was soon arranged. From the onset, we were particularly impressed that the lady visited us to get to know the family (and mom as a person) thus ensuring she could allocate the appropriate carer team for our specific needs. Unfortunately, we didn't foresee the rapid decline in health and increased care needs for Mom in such a short period of time, which forced us to re-think a longer-term plan, however, Home Instead were more than accommodating and continued to provide Mom's care in the interim period whilst the situation was sorted out. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble and the carers were adaptable, punctual and showed respect, kindness and compassion at all times. Whilst we only used their services for a short period the care mom received in that time was excellent and I would have no hesitation in recommending it.
I have been using Home Instead for several years now and recommend them very highly. The carers and administration staff have been very professional and have always cared for my auntie's needs with utmost care. The management have always listened and actioned any issues we have had and to this point has enabled my auntie ( diagnosed with Alzheimer's) to remain at home with her treasured comforts. Many Thanks.
Home Instead have been providing care for my elderly mother for quite some time now; the two carers allocated to her are very kind, trustworthy and carry out all their duties listed in her care plan with due diligence and attention; always making my mother feel very comfortable. They go beyond the call of duty being ‘chatty and welcoming’ during their call-outs. I would have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead.
Very pleased with the whole experience. Carers are very pleasant, always on time and go the extra mile, no complaints at all.
What an amazing team of carers and office staff. Home Instead came recommended to us through another service and Mum has taken 'the ladies'so well. I have met many of them throughout the last few months and the care that they provide is exceptional, understanding Mum's rare form of dementia and behavioural needs. The office team are wonderful too, particularly two staff members who are so accommodating when we need to change plans or routines. Thank you for making all of our lives a little easier!
I engaged Home Instead Sutton Coldfield over a year ago, initially to provide some companionship to my elderly father when I am unable to visit. Initially reluctant to engage with people outside the family, he has got to know the ladies and has benefited greatly from their support, help with light domestic chores and sometimes just by having a chat. It has been invaluable to me to know Dad is being supported on days I cannot be there.
We go abroad on a regular basis, Home Instead always accommodate the extra calls! The care for the client is always outstanding, professional and has high standards. They always look out for her holistically and make sure all her needs are met.
All the Carers and staff back in the office are excellent. Carers are professional and respectful. They arrive on time and the office is excellent at contacting if there is a sudden change to the carer for the day. I have had no hesitation in recommending Home Instead to friends. First class!
We have been using Home Instead for a number of years, for my grandmother firstly and then for my mum. The carers have always been great, they get stuck into whatever needs doing and offer a lot of support. They always arrive with a smile on their face and are so friendly even though my mum struggles with communication.
I did a lot of research regarding private carers for my mother-in-law and came across Home Instead. I liked the fact that they had won awards and our experience all round has been that they deserved those awards as we have no complaints whatsoever about any carer who has visited. Every one of them does all they can and beyond to help my mother-in-law. They are respectful, exceptionally patient and kind and will all go that extra mile to make sure she is safe and cared for. Communication from this company is excellent. I do not hesitate in writing this review as I am so pleased with our find. Thank you so much to all at Home Instead.
My aunt has been diagnosed with mixed dementia and we wanted a daily call from Home Instead to do a 'safe and well check' and also cook her a hot meal. Although my aunt is fiercely independent and at first she thought it was odd having someone come to her house, she soon got to know the ladies and looked forward to their daily call. The carers are always on time, friendly and helpful and always give a full report of their visit. On a Friday they take her to a friendship club, which my aunt loves, and on a Wednesday the carer will also take her to the hairdressers. My aunt always says how lovely the ladies are and it's so nice to have their company. The support that Home Instead gives, means my aunt can still enjoy living in her own house, but with some help and this is reassurance for us family members, particularly me as I live 267 miles away! Very pleased with Home Instead and would recommend their services as the carers are professional, friendly and 'caring.'
Home Instead supported my grandmother at home with dementia for 2.5 years until she passed away. Thanks to their support, the carers and the office, we were able to keep her in her own home and avoid hospital admissions, which would have hastened her demise, which would surely have happened had she been in a care home. Of course there were times when there were misunderstandings and glitches but on the whole things were well organised and the care team went above and beyond what they were required to do. Home Instead care is expensive but the carers are experienced and reliable and well-supported by their supervisors in the office. A core team worked from the early days until the end, so my grandmother was familiar with them as were we. We can only hope that service levels continue at this standard in a pressurised marketplace.
We just wanted to take this opportunity to thank the team and all the lovely ladies who visited and supported my father over the past 2 years. It was not his wish to go into residential care and whilst his situation deteriorated to such that we could no longer avoid this, without doubt, everyone helped hugely in allowing him to stay at home for as long as possible. I have put 'don't know' for 'Value for money' purely because we did not try any other care providers to be able to make any comparisons and came straight to Home Instead after a recommendation from a friend.
Home Instead Sutton Coldfield have provided care for circa 2 years and continue to do so, for both my mother and father. They provide daily visits (2 hours) with a team of carers, all of whom are extremely helpful, thoughtful, supportive and professional. Their support helps to ensure my parents can continue to live at home which is their wish and the family is appreciative of this.
Home Instead care for my brother, who is 48 and has physical and learning disabilities. They are absolutely wonderful. They mean everything to him - and me. They give him friendship, safety, routine, hygiene, independence and fun. They allow me to work and care for my own family, and communicate in the most professional and reassuring way. They also cared for my late mother before this, who was bedridden with Alzheimer's and COPD and were similarly kind and professional.
I have used Home Instead (Sutton Coldfield) for two years and have been extremely happy with the service that they provide. All the staff are very pleasant and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They really have taken good care of me and for this, I am very grateful.
Mum is extremely happy with her carers. Mum really enjoys the carers' company and looks forward to her visits every week. The carer understands mum and makes mum feel like a valued person, mum's spirits are always lifted after her visits. Mum tells me how they have a sing along to the songs on the smart speaker and have a lovely time. We sometimes have a 2-hour session where Mum and the carer go for coffee and Mum feels like she is with a good friend and enjoys her time out with the carer. Mum has a regular carer but also will have other carers when her regular carer is on holiday - all carers have been kind and caring. Also a very efficient Admin Team. All-round excellent service - we are so lucky to have found Home Instead.
We are more than satisfied with the service provided. The company is able to accommodate our needs with the same known group of carers (so appreciated by my mother) and, when we request it, are able to provide more care on a random basis. If there is any criticism, it would be the occasional breakdown of communication between the office and us when, unexpectedly, the carer is delayed, reports this to the office, asks for us, the clients, to be informed, but it doesn’t always happen. To be fair, in our situation, it’s manageable, but a courtesy call would be appreciated. But overall, we are more than satisfied.
