View Full Details of LifeCare EdinburghThe friendliness of the staff and reliability and concern for the clients.
My carer arrives on time and is well dressed. They will do any jobs that are required and are helpful and courteous. They are of great assistance when going on buses or when just walking any distance.
I am well looked after and cared for. My medical needs are taken care of along with any physical or mental needs. I am also able to talk about any personal problems I may have and get good, sensible advice. All care workers past and present have all been a great help to me in my day to day life.
The staff who attend my brother with dementia, are extremely caring and understanding. We all get on well.
The service (Life Care) was recommended to me by a member of a local carer's group. Life Care has given us peace of mind, allowing our Dad, who has dementia, to be taken out and about while in long-term hospital care. They contacted me directly to discuss activities and equipment (wheelchair) that could improve his care. The office staff are prompt and efficient. We are very pleased to have found them.
My home carer is reliable, punctual and friendly. She is willing to do anything she's asked and doesn't waste time.
LifeCare provides weekly home support for my husband who has vascular dementia. He tremendously enjoys the time he spends with the carer and benefits from the companionship of someone not in the family. He is taken for walks and visits to places that interest him and is always treated with great respect. The carers have a pro-active approach to communication that is helpful in stimulating dementia sufferers. I appreciate the strong emphasis on safety and security and have trust in LifeCare staff.
I have two extremely qualified male carers who cover three days personal care per week. Both are exactly what you would wish in a carer, very helpful, happy, patient (even when the client is a bit grumpy). I could not wish for better with these carers.
I have used LifeCare Edinburgh and I must say it has helped me a lot. I have one carer who comes to help me five mornings a week. She is good company and assisted me when I shower, keeps my shower, wash hand basin and ME sparkling clean!! She is a very caring carer. The staff in the office are always pleasant when contacted and when I phone to pay my monthly account. They are most helpful and I know them by first names now. For overall performance, I would certainly recommend LifeCare Edinburgh.
My wife continues to enjoy the visits of her carers who have become good friends to her and myself. They continue to give her a happy and comfortable start to her day. They have encouraged her to converse more freely and as a result, are improving her dysphasia. They are now a major event in her morning and an important factor in her recovery.
I have always found this agency to be extremely helpful. The staff are very pleasant and support workers always arrive on time. Very pleased with this agency.
I am the carer for my husband who has PD, with poor balance and speech. The support I needed was respite care for a few hours per week. On making an initial enquiry to LifeCare about the services they provide, an appointment was made to discuss our requirements. It was evident from this meeting that they knew exactly what was required and that they could provide it. My husband now has a very experienced caregiver and I can leave home for a few hours knowing that he is in safe hands. I would highly recommend LifeCare to anyone who is tired of making calls to agencies who arrange to call you or visit you and don't turn up!!!! This does not happen with LifeCare and every member of staff that I've dealt with has been professional and friendly.
I could not have found a more personable person than my carer and the standard of work is excellent, in short my carer is excellent in every way.
The work done by the care workers is excellent. However there is a recurring problem with accounts. Their invoice charges me one month in advance and I always pay in full. Now there have been time when my wife was is in hospital and I have cancelled the relevant respite care periods, this result in the invoice I have paid being an overcharge. The accounts department do not always compensate and I have written to them twice and phoned several times with only partial success. I am a full time carer for my wife which can be very stressful and I should not have this added problem to contend with.
LifeCare provide excellent support which personally I believe is due in part to the staff who share a very high work ethic and go the extra mile for their clients. It is assuring that using them to support two elderly parents that they look on their support workers almost as friends which is an additional bonus of not only providing physical care but delivering a social aspect to the service and ultimately gives the family peace of mind.
Very good service. My mothers carer is very kind, thoughtful and helpful. A good relationship has developed between her and my mother. Comfortable having my mothers carer in the house.
The carer meets my husband at his physio group, brings him home in a taxi and gives him his lunch. They chat, do a jigsaw or watch TV until i get home from my weekly voluntary work shift. This gives us both a break and we appreciate the reliable and responsible care provided.
As an elderly client with mobility problems, I have been using the Home Help service provided by Lifecare for the 12 months or so and the fact that I have just taken action to increase my number of monthly hours speaks very positively about the high quality of service provided to me. The home help ladies are all extremely friendly and helpful. The scope of work which we discussed and agreed at the beginning of the arrangement is of tremendous practical help to me. Apart from the actual home help work which is provided, I also enjoy the friendly chatty nature of the ladies who visit. The Lifecare Home help Department is managed very well and in particular there are no gaps in the service provided to me. I am always fully advised in advance of any changes taking place because of holidays, illness etc.
