View Full Details of Nightingales HomecareI think the level of care Mum has recieved from Nightingales Homecare has been good, my only concern is that she is supposed to have 30 minutes each call. I can honestly say 10 minutes is the maximum time that Mum has unless it's on a day when Mum has a shower. On one occasion when I was with Mum the carer came whilst I was there put a meal in the microwave then gave it to mum then left. The time spent with mum in total was 7 minutes. The carer then sat in her car on her mobile phone (this was observed as I left at the same time as the carer).
My mum suffers from dementia. She looks forward to the carers coming and always says how nice the staff are and when I have met any of the staff they have been lovely. On one visit my mum had really sore hands they rang me and I was able to sort out a doctors appointment. The staff have always said how they like my mum and dad, that means a lot to me. Your staff are a credit to your company.
My mother is 87 and since the death of my father, some 2 years ago, I have been the primary carer for my mum. Obviously with the passing of time her needs have increased. We started to have your carers on Christmas Eve and I can say that it has not only transformed her life but mine also. Now when I visit I can just be her son instead of running around doing things. Alongside the care the daily interaction with her is wonderful. Everybody has noticed how much more upbeat she is. I can now also work away without worry. Thank you.
