I have received care from Berkeley Home Care for the past three years and have been very satisfied with the care I have received. I am especially satisfied with the two present carers who have been with me most of the time.

As a niece who lives no near my aunt, we needed a reliable, responsive and caring care system to support her to live at home. We have had this in abundance at Northwood Care team for the last 2 years. I cannot speak highly enough of some particular members of staff who have checked in relentlessly with us and have been so thoughtful and caring. They are a very professional and polite team. The communication is excellent and really makes a massive distance to long-distance support. I am sure they have done more than their job for us. And all the carers have honestly been great. The timing of their planned visits was rarely changed. My aunt was even well-loved by them and Northwood knew how to support her well with consistency and care despite her foibles. We have felt supported and knowing she has been loved by particular carers means the world. The financial system was also very supportive whilst we were trying to manage her finances with the delays we had. Thank you. Highly recommended.

We have had live-in care for my mother for over a year since she had a seizure. Having one to one attention to assist with all her needs, has helped her gain confidence, motivated her to improve her mobility, has allowed mum to use her energy for the things she really enjoys doing like a bit of gardening and going for gentle walks. In addition, the live-in carer has been discreet, empathetic and above all a good companion to my mum. The staff at Berkeley Northwood have always been on the end of the phone should the need arrive, and set up a good care plan from the outset. Having the opportunity to keep mum in her own home has meant a lot to us as a family and we have felt reassured that she is in good hands.

I live alone and have been using your services on many occasions since 2010. Until the last three or four years ago I only contacted you for daily assistance after several operations. I now have one hour a day for six days in the morning and two hours once a week for shopping. I am very satisfied with the care and assistance offered by you and your carers but recent times for the carers coming in the mornings varies from 8 - 9.30 from week to week. I find this rather confusing. i appreciate

Berkeley Home Care staff were extremely kind and supportive when I suddenly found myself needing help with care for my elderly mother. Every carer who came to my mother was kind, friendly and very willing to do any job required. The office staff were very supportive of me and understood my difficult situation perfectly. I would certainly use their services again should I so need.

Berkeley Homes provide excellent care for my disabled daughter while she is in her own flat during the week for half an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening. The staff are very helpful, and she regards them as her friends.

Northwood nursing have been extremely polite, helpful and patient when having to provide care for an elderly lady who can, at times, be rude, obstructive and extremely independent. The team have always worked with us to ensure that she is happy and build a rapport with her. The office team have been extremely supportive with any issues or queries we have had.

I live alone and do a weekly shop. Some years ago, I felt very unwell when shopping so requested the services of Northwood Nursing. I had previously used this firm to assist me in looking after my wife at home before she went into a home. I cannot recall any instance when the carer did not come at the agreed time. I have had the same carer all the time except for holidays, etc. They have all been very professional, friendly and efficient.

My mum first used Berkeley Northwood for in-home help in 2015 whilst recovering from a broken hip. As she is now in her late eighties and still living in her own house, I asked them this summer to provide a carer once a day for an hour for routine housework, food etc on an ongoing basis. I have found them to be flexible, efficient and professional. They are providing me with peace of mind as I work abroad and cannot be there as often as I would like.

All the ladies who attend my mother are very helpful, pleasant and caring, and ensure everything runs smoothly in her home and that all her needs are met. They are more like friends to her. They think outside the box and go beyond the call of duty when needed. This makes us as a family feel secure in the knowledge that my mother is in capable hands. If they notice anything that concerns them we are notified straightaway.

We have used Berkeley Home Care - Northwood for over six years to care for my Father, who suffers from dementia. We have found the company to be organised and helpful as well as supporting us on each stage of our dementia journey since our Mother passed away. Each care provider is supported by the team to ensure a full understanding of the care plan and the needs of our Father and will always offer the highest standard of care. They take the time to chat and engage with my Father which has really helped his mental and physical health. They also have the utmost patience with his dementia. I would recommend Berkeley Home Care - Northwood to anyone who needs an occasional few hours of care or a more permanent arrangement, like us.

Northwood Homecare were professional, understanding and flexible from the start. We had 3 live-in carers over a 6-month time frame, all very different but all excellent in their own way. The administrative and “hands-on staff” were all delightful, and helped the whole family through a very difficult time, with empathy and understanding.
