View Full Details of Prestige Nursing & Care (Derby)My daughter is non-verbal and has very complex needs and occasional but regular challenging behaviours. The care she receives is generally excellent but can vary according to who is on shift. The support from the office is generally excellent, but sometimes information flow could be better. We have some issues with night staff meeting their domestic obligations in a competent manner, it is important they are given the chance to shadow experienced staff. Overall the agency and the carers are excellent and committed.
The service I received is always excellent, from the nurses, carers and office staff.
I am extremely pleased with all aspects of the care which I receive. I always know in advance the details of my care for the following week and any proposed changes which have to be made (due to unforeseen circumstances) are notified promptly and any implications are discussed with me. All the carers (except one) have been kind and considerate and have arrived promptly. They follow company policy with regards to the wearing of the uniform and the way they work reflects some good training. I am particularly pleased and impressed with one particular carer who gives outstanding care. She has a wonderful way with her and shows great empathy as well as a sense of humour. She is efficient with her time, proactive in realising what needs doing, yet she is sensitive to my needs and treats me with respect. Because of her skills and personality. I consider that she would make an excellent manager or trainer although I would be reluctant to lose her as a carer. She is excellent!
We are sent a list of carers every week and notified of any changes as soon as they happen where possible. All carters are very trustworthy and punctual unless held up in traffic. Carers have been well trained and willing to help in any way. All but one carers (as she soon left) have been very pleasant and have done all they can to help willingly.
Mum is generally very happy with the care provided. Main concern would be that mum prefers an early morning call e.g 7:30 but sometimes is not on the rota until 8:30 or later which she finds difficult as she cannot shower until someone arrives. Preference for an early call is a really important factor to mum.
