View Full Details of SCA Care (Southampton)I have been a service user since SCA took over the care at Winfrid House. The standard of care is 100%. I am treated with respect and am safe and secure in my home. The whole team at Windfrid are the best and deserves recognition for their work ethics.
I have nothing but praise for the staff who are excellent in their care of my sister. She is treated with respect and dignity. She is extremely happy living at Barfields, there is a really nice atmosphere when I visit. Recent changes to management have been an improvement, more professional and organised. I have always been kept informed if there have ever been any issues - which I am very happy to say over 5 years plus have been very very few, they have always been handled sensitively and professionally. I wouldn't be able to manage all my sister-in-law's needs without the support of the staff and manager. They are a great team. Thank you all.
I am pleased with the service SCA Care provides. I was very nervous about needing personal care but I have found the staff treated me with dignity and were very friendly and put me at ease. Having worked in the care sector for over 40 years I have nothing but praise for the hard work the care staff at SCA Care do. Thank you.
Staff at Gore Grange have always treated my Dad with care and kindness. If I have any concerns they have listened and addressed them the best they can. I feel reassured that my dad is being well looked after!
Taken a little time to settle in and get used to everything but on the whole a good experience with the care team. Parents feel quite safe now and this is a weight off knowing they are safe and cared for. I was kept informed of any concerns with health etc. They had a lovely time at an activity recently and would like more please as they enjoyed the social aspect. Two staff members in particular were fantastic when we first met them and sorted a lot out for us and gave a lot of reassurance.
The carers and management are kind, caring, understanding and helpful, treat us with dignity they go the extra mile every day to help us in our lives. They are special wonderful people who help us from day to day. We are a family here, we look forward to them coming in every day. Nothing is too much for them. They organise activities for us. The SCA are the best. Well done to everyone and thank you.
Every time I contact the manager or any senior carers that I have any concerns with my brother-in-law they are very supportive and keep me updated with any changes to his care. My brother-in-law is always given dignity and respect and I am very happy with the values that SCA Care provide.
I can not express how grateful I am to the care team at Gore Grange. The team are caring and always pleasant to my mother. She looks forwards to them coming to her. On occasions, I have needed their advice and assistance and they have always been forthcoming, helping me achieve the right outcome for my mum. The whole team are great, but my special thanks go to the practice manager and two other staff members in particular.
My mum is very well looked after by SCA and she has some really lovely carers. Over time they have got to know her well and they find ways to work around her dementia, and improve her quality of life. The PASS system keeps me in immediate touch and any concerns are addressed very promptly and sensitively on the phone. I know Mum would want to say a big ‘thank you’ to everyone.
Outstanding! My dad has dementia. He attends the day centre 3xweek and home care twice a day. They make him smile and that's the main thing. The care provided is second to none as they show compassion and patience. The support for my mum is amazing, they show empathy and understanding. We couldn't ask any more from them. They took a huge weight off of our shoulders when we needed it most as a family. Every single member of staff is worth their weight in gold!
The carers provide excellent support to my elderly father. He has poor eyesight and hearing, which does make life difficult for him. The carers take these factors into account and help him accordingly.
The care I receive from all staff is exceptional. Everyone who visits me is polite, well mannered and pleasant. Generally top-notch care from a first-class company. The staff and management all spend time with me whenever they see me which I really appreciate.
The carers that come to visit my sister provide excellent and caring support for her. There have been problems with agency staff previously, but I understand that these have been addressed now. One problem we are finding is that we carefully plan her social activities around the weekly timetable, it is frequently changed at the last minute, which results in her not being home at the right time or if we notice a last-minute change, we have to cancel the planned social activity. This obviously causes her upset and distress as she doesn’t find changes easy and is also worried about not getting back in time if we notice there is a change to the schedule. As you are aware, she is reliant on public transport as neither of us drives, which needs planning and additional time for getting back home.
SCA are and always have been caring, compassionate and very efficient in their dealings with me as a residential client. I could not wish for better care. Especially upon my discharge from the hospital in November 2022.
Since I have come to this company, they have changed my life and now I am on the verge of taking over my finances. All the staff and management are brilliant, I was given the opportunity to do my own interviews, I jumped at the chance and all I can say is thank you to this company for helping me.
I contacted SCA Care to provide support to my mum during the last few months of her time with us. The service provided was exceptional - not only was the carer someone I will be eternally grateful for, but the office team offered outstanding support; even out of hours, they can be contacted through the on-call service or their open pass app. Great service all-round, and it was good to know they are a charity too.
Very professional company. The carers give my mum confidence. Also, they engage with her and make her smile. Communication, I think sending out rosters by post, not working, sometimes they arrive late, much better by email to me, at home carer.
The care my wife receives is generally good to excellent. However, despite requests to let us know about changes to the carer or the time they are arriving to give the care, we are often visited at a different time or by a different carer. This can be extremely frustrating to me and to my wife, who suffers from anxiety and depression in any case.
The carer was utterly selfless, caring for my mother who was COVID positive. She agreed to live-in and acted as a friend as well as a carer to my mother who arrived from the care home much sicker than any of us could have imagined; my mother was also neglected and frightened. The carer took on 'over and above' - staying up 2 nights and holding my mother's hand. She supported me and my family and gave me strength as I watched my mother pass, knowing she was there. She said she would look after mum so she did not have a change of carer. We will never forget the care, warmth and kindness the carer showed my mum and my family. Thank you.
I would like to say a big thank you to all the ladies that have cared for my mum over the past few years. You all do a fantastic job. I have met some of my mum's carers and they are truly dedicated to their job and go above and beyond to look after my mum. My mum is so very fond of all of them and we are very lucky to have such an amazing team looking after her. I can’t thank you all enough.
